Bateocamp and Digital Citizenship: the Giudecca and Cannaregio districts will be covered in September
After navigating the web and the Grand Canal we had a brief talk with Vice Mayor Michele Vianello; now, here we are at the Blue Moon.
By autumn, Veniceconnected will cover the Giudecca island (where are two incubators for creative companies), the Cannaregio district as well as new areas of Mestre. One of Vianello’s most immediate objectives is the application of optical fibers in public libraries.
He maintains that “We fight with contents: I want to provide all Venetian chemist’s shops with telemedicine services connected to the pediatric duty doctor service -for instance. This revolution will affect many areas”.
Mr. Baldassi of Venis points out that the map at www.veniceconnected.com displays all the sectors already reached by the city network, and will be constantly updated.
