The Digital Media District that leads development in the Veneto

On Friday 28th November 2008, at the Venice Gateway for Science and Technology VEGA, there was a presentation of the results of the analysis carried out on the Digital Media District by the Venice International University – Tedis Centre: Veneto Digital Media District: a cognitive analysis for development planning.
It resulted in an up-to-date picture of entrepreneurship in the Veneto’s digital media field aimed at supporting a reflection on the policies and development trends in an area numbering over 42,000 companies and representing the backbone of business, social and economic development of Veneto Region.
The MDM – Digital Media District – is the most important company aggregation in Italy and Europe with around one thousand of the Region’s most dynamic and cutting-edge companies and is the first network in a field encompassing telecommunications, audio-video products, press, publishing, software design and programming, and much more.
