Tomorrow Now: the digital art conferences at Bevilacqua La Masa
Meeting 12.02.08 h 18.30

12 February marks the return of the digital art conferences. Organised by the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, the series will be titled Tomorrow Now: contemporary artistic practices in the digital culture.
L’opera senza centro - that is to say ‘works without a centre’ – is the theme running through the latest series of lectures and new forms of expression based on the new media. The role of the artist/author is changing, and media and exhibition spaces are being transformed; digital sections are being created in contemporary art museums, international festivals, temporary exhibitions like the Media City Seoul Biennale in Korea. Interactivity, network, communication and immateriality of the code are the crucial issues that contemporary art is having to address.
