Teatro Fondamenta Nuove: contemporary music, theatre and dance
Point of reference for new contemporary trends in the live-show field, the Fondamenta Nuove Theatre has been run by the Vortice Cultural Association since 2003.
Vortice, founded in 1998, considers this theatre the “headquarters” of its activities: a place for enjoying and realizing various works in many artistic fields, such as dance, music and theatre, characterised by research and creativity. 
The various contemporary theatre shows reveal the creative impulse typical of the Fondamenta Nuove Theatre.
The musical shows in particular handle with contemporary trends in an original way: jazz concerts, avant-garde rock and electronic music all have an eye to relations with other disciplines and the use of different media.
The theatre also hosts seminars, workshops and conferences, acting as a contemporary culture centre for the city and its creative potential.
