Acconciature – Hairstyling is the great exhibition will open tomorrow, 7 march, at Totem Il Canale Gallery.
Since ancient times, hairstyling has been a symbol of gender, age and rank. African populations have been particularly creative in the art of hairstyling: oils, pigments, decorations with shells, feathers, beads made of glass, wood, metal, bone or ivory.
In this exhibition, masks and statues show the ancient and fascinating art of hairstyling.
