Our Saturday night started in Rialto at 10 pm, in front of the oldest church of Venice. There, it was given to all the groups the kit to start the game and every team was already prepared to start and win the Ruyi, this special and powerful sceptre, under the fantastic and shining stars at the end of March, without an idea on how everything would turn at the end.

“Un Carnevale che coniuga la tradizione con la modernità e la trasgressività”. Marco Balich, direttore artistico dell’edizione 2008 del Carnevale di Venezia, ha svelato gli ultimi dettagli del programma di Sensation.

Accolti da applausi scroscianti e risate sono arrivati sul palco Skardi, Furio, Valerio e tutti i Pitura Freska, la band di Venezia più famosa del mondo, ad annunciare che saranno loro, riuniti “come quei veri” per l’occasione, a chiudere il Carnevale Sensation martedì grasso in Piazza San Marco alle 20.30.

Una nuova installazione di Andrea Morucchio, in uno dei campi veneziani più frequentati e attraversati, creata per il Giorno della Memoria.

Le foto dei simboli della Shoah, delle stelle e dei triangoli che marchiavano i prigionieri dei campi di concentramento nazisti, ingigantite, accostate come un patchwork, raccolte e rielaborate dal giovane artista veneziano, verranno distribuite come cartoline, affisse per la città come manifesti, e proiettate in Campo San Bartolomeo sui muri dei palazzi, assieme alla diffusione sonora dei brani musicali di Die Ermittlung composti da Luigi Nono.
