The cycle of meetings “e-Creative, art for a better future”, organized by FNV in collaboration with Brandit, which took place in Palazzo Barbarigo on the Grand Canal, came to an end last Friday, 5th June. We discussed about art, enterprise, communication, creativity and innovation. There were several themes, and as many speakers who contributed with their personal experience and viewpoint on the world of creativity and innovation, in a very friendly atmosphere. No tables separated the audience from the speakers, only a living room for chatting and exchanging views about creativity, art, and the possibility of improving our future through those very instruments.
As DesignPeople reports, e-Creative’s basic aim is that of building a network among companies, professionals and lovers of creativity, art and innovation to apply it to a new way of doing business. I believe this wish has been fulfilled; not only because the atmosphere was really participative, with several different viewpoints, but also because each event was followed by a chat and a drink -maybe an old way of creating a community, but fully 2.0 because the online world, a major theme of discussion during e-Creative, is inevitably complementary with the offline world of vis-a-vis relations.
The brief interviews with the protagonists of these three days of e-Creative events will be available on Youtube from Friday.
e-Creative,04.06.09 h 20.13Artists and business: Marco Bettiol of VIU talks about Creativity in Action, a project for the Vicenza gold district artisans who worked with the ZimmerFrei multimedia artists. The project resulted in new concepts for jewellery design and display. Creativity in Action, an interesting example of how the intersection of art and artisanal production is possible: watch the video here.
Design and architecture to improve the relationship between man and nature: a subject of discussion at e-Creative. The Director of Med (Domus Academy ‘Master in Cultural Experience Design and Management’) Monica Scanu gave an energetic contribution: through design, contemporary art can transform our urban reality starting from people’s daily life. A contribution which relates to the notion of architecture, design and interactivity as means of improving the relationship between man and nature. Walter Nicolino of carlorattiassociati & SENSEable City Lab talks about it, by describing the visionary project realized for the Pavilion at Zaragoza Expo and the interactive bus stop they designed for the City of Florence. The contamination between knowledge, designers and artists is getting stronger, and artists work together more often than ever.
