Dedicated to the Replay brand founder, the Fondazione Claudio Buziol will inaugurate on May, 12 its new headquarters in Venice, inside Palazzo Mangilli-Valmarana, overlooking the Grand Canal, with an exhibition curated by Andrea Lissoni and a lecture by Alejandro Jodorowsky on the theme of dreams.

the dream continues
In the words of Paola Dametto Buziol, President of the Foundation, “The strength of a dream was the inspiration behind Claudio Buziol’s entrepreneurial adventure and it is also the basis of the Foundation dedicated to him, created to support and develop the artistic and professional ‘dreams’ of new generations”.
This appointment is the first of a packed programme of meetings and activities that the Foundation has begun under the artistic direction of Renzo di Renzo, with the contribution of a scientific committee of young critics and curators, including some of the most important names in the fields of fashion, art and design: Angelo Flaccavento, Martino Gamper and Andrea Lissoni.
The programme will develop under different forms and methods, involving various sectors of artistic expression.
From 15th May writers, starting with Niccolò Ammaniti, will reveal their souls, by reading unpublished works and debating with the public, while June and July will see a series of workshops where young people can work together with designers, graphic artists, photographers and musicians, including Guido Scarabottolo, Daniel Eatock, Matali Crasset, Casey Reas, Andrea Molino, Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin, Anthony Burrill.
As well as meetings with authors, the Foundation will also have an ’artist in residence’ programme: the inaugural event will be an opportunity to see the works of Luca Trevisani and Nico Vascellari, the first two artists chosen, which will be displayed in the Foundation’s rooms, in an artistic path titled “Daydream fields”, curated by Andrea Lissoni, together with the works by Andrea Belfi and Mirco Santi, Andrea Dojmi, Camilla Candida Donzella, Carlos Casas, Aldo Lanzini, Francesco Meneghini and William Bottin.
The exhibition is based on the concept of residence: the artists are invited to “take home” inside the Foundation’s Palazzo, as if it was their residence. The outcome will consist on a multidisciplinary review of works coming from different backgrounds, each representing the personal world of the author.
