One-man exhibition of Sergej Kapus opens at A+A Gallery on March 7th.
Kapus, who comes from Slovenia, reveals in his paintings his activity as poet and art theoretician.
Abstract art is the starting point for analysing perception until the viewer’s point of view dissolves. The landscape disappears: localization and decentralization are the key elements for understanding his works, halfway between painting and photography.
Kapus finds inspiration in the relentless series of images produced by the media. In his attempt to grasp the meaning of human identity, they become emblematic of contemporary society’s fragmentation.
