May will be opened by live jazz concerts at Venice Jazz Club, on Friday 2, with a Tribute to Miles Davis; from 10 p.m., MaMa MarjaS+Tiszla feat. Jebho Dj, reggae/dancehall dj-set at TorinoNotte. On April, 24 the Progetto Accade 2008 Traiettorie liquide opens at BLM, Piazza San Marco.
On April, 27 at 8 pm the exhibition I am not a man by young Venetian artist Chiara Silvano opens at Aurora Caffè in San Marco square. It’s an analysis of a feminine identity which reveals itself in pictorial expression. The exhibition is part of La Domenica Aurora Caffè, meetings with young artists sipping aperitifs and listening to lounge music, in the unparalleled panorama of St. Mark’s Square.
Aurora, together with Bevilacqua La Masa foundation is also host to the project Which Venice/Quale Venezia? a work in progress which lasted nearly two years and featured meetings, competitions, exhibitions, and debates. The event has been organized on Aurora Street association request, to highlight the criticalities of a city which is constantly exhibited, is controversial, violated but which continues nonetheless to be impregnable.
Summer season at Aurora Beach Club begins on May, 1, at Lido di Venezia, with many news: it will be possible to have brakfast with a healthy drink made of fresh fruits, reading newspapers and listening to blues, swing and soul music. From june live music, visual artists, books readings, movies and short films.
On Friday 2, the collectif exhibition at Galleria Il Sotoportego; on Saturday 3, Kristina Bastian: Lustwandeln – miele zafferano lavanda at Françoise Calcagno Art Studio, in Campo del Ghetto Novo.
