Romania, a country with a lively music and performance and visual arts scene, presents a jam-packed program at the 2008 Venice Sensation Carnival: high quality concerts, shows and parties
in the campi and in the streets of Venice and Mestre with live music, parades, theatrical performances, DJ sessions, video art exhibitions, ethnic, ethnic-electronic, ethnic-rock and ambient music. Over 40 shows with 150 artists, singers, bands and DJs from Romania.
The Biennale Italia Pavilion will be the core of the event: every day from Shrove Thursday to Shrove Tuesday, from late at night until dawn, its twenty huge rooms will be the best place to be during the 2008 Carnival.
All the events will be free, thanks to the joint efforts of the Romanian Institutions and of the cultural department of the City of Venice.
Fun-loving parades of people in fancy-dress will be led by the artists from St.Mark’s square to the Italia Pavillion where the party will go on until late at night in over twenty rooms with music, visual arts, concerts and DJ sets.
