Caffè Centrale: a taste of the contemporary and a tradition of the past

Just two minutes walk from Piazza San Marco, the Caffè Centrale is a sparkling mix of flavours and emotions with a seductive style.

Located in the heart of the Serenissima at Palazzo Cocco Molin, an ancient Venetian residence of 1500, the Caffè Centrale is unique, particular and romantic.

Once entered in its ancient and at the same time modern structure, you can see all the small details such as the Murano chandeliers, oil paintings and design furniture that make the atmosphere romantic. If you are on a romantic holiday we suggest you to book one of the two corner tables, but beware they are among the most requested tables in the whole Venice.

The lounge area, furnished by the designer Philippe Stark, takes the form of a modern sitting area with pouffes, black leather sofas and glass tables, perfect if you would like to sip a cocktail or a glass of wine.

The history of the ancient Serenissima Republic stands out in the refined and original surroundings of this enchanting venue where the exaltation of classic Venetian flavours and Italian cuisine find their essence.

The kitchen offers completely innovative recipes made with excellent quality ingredients and creative dishes of meat and fish with seasonal vegetables, special mousses, aromatic sauces, while the desserts are a real work of art. Caffè Centrale obviously meets all its clients’ food requirements and therefore the chef is always preparing a series of dishes designed exclusively for vegetarians and vegans.

Another surprise of Caffè Centrale is the bar where there is a wide selection of gins and vodka, with 50 different labels and certainly among the best stocked in Venice, a premium line to meet the needs of all types of customers; additionally they have scotch, whiskey, tequila and of course the wines of the best wineries in the area.

With the arrival of the winter season, Caffè Centrale has an artistic calendar of musical entertainment that is continuously enhanced, ranging from swing to jazz, from live piano to games of illusion.

And last but not least, Caffè Centrale organizes “River” an annual aperitif for all the Venetians, now at its 4th edition, an evening party for all the most loyal customers, their neighbours, colleagues and friends. Entry is free, no invitation or reservation is required. A free buffet is served and for the occasion a drink list is created; while a dj-set entertains the guests.
