Simply precious, like its fabrics, is a visit to Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, a textile company that has existed since 1499 and still produces today, using original eighteenth-century looms: brocades, damasks, and velvets. A historic enterprise and outstanding example of Venetian decorative art that withstands the changes of time, producing treasures to wear or for interior design, such as those chosen by Dolce & Gabbana for the presentation of their new Luxury Living line at the end of last August at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia.

2) DoppioFondo
Art printing workshop and independent publishing house, Lista Vecchia dei Bari 1256
From the Academy of Fine Arts to the craft of printers, Tiziano Ciao, Nicolas Magnan, and Valeria Milan, in their small print shop near Palazzo Mocenigo, create artist books by hand and organize numerous workshops. Doppiofondo is also the name of the association and workshop, where they love to share with people their passion for matrices, ink, and the practice of printing.

Nearly a silver anniversary for Sartoria Dei Dogi, which cuts, sews, and crafts the celebrated Tabarri: circular men’s cloaks with ancient sartorial origins. Venetian Stucco Workers’ Union, Dorsoduro 3077
A group of artisans, disciples of Master stucco worker Mario Fogliata, who since 2001 have sustained and kept alive the traditional Venetian technique of restoration and conservation of architectural surfaces, decorations, and renovations of historic buildings.

On Calle Lunga San Barnaba, you will find Antonella Maione and Mauro Cazzaro, who in 2014 founded the multidisciplinary design studio KANZ Architetti. Since 2012, graphic designers and printers Paolo Roggero and Federico Arzenton have focused on visual communication, combining digital and handcraft. This has given rise to a true passion for paper and the use of typefaces, creating screen-printed and hand-printed artist posters.

The story of two iconic collections: Vento of chandeliers and mirrors; Tulle of vases, bottles, and bowls in various colors.
Dedicated to the Venetian artistic and artisanal tradition of the Art of Glass, for more than six hundred years the Seguso family company has created some of the most spectacular and appreciated glass artworks in the world. Iconic are the spherical lamps at the entrance of the Casino Palace at the Venice Lido, which adorn the passage of VIPs and international celebrities on the red carpet of the Film Festival. Important recognitions include, most recently three years ago, the Honorable Mention at the XXV Compasso d’Oro, the ADI award recognized as the Nobel Prize of design and established in 1954 from an idea by Gio Ponti. A recognition that had been absent from the island since 1991.

Atelier Aperti | INFO
Atelier Aperti is part of the Venice Fashion Week ecosystem, the event that promotes Venice as a center of production and creativity. Venice Fashion Week returns to present Venice as the city of High Fashion with fashion shows and events from October 9 to 23, 2021.
The next edition of Atelier Aperti will be from April 12 to 23, 2022, as part of the Homo Faber program.
Atelier Aperti supports #VeniceOriginal, a project by CNA Venezia that promotes craftsmanship through itineraries and an e-commerce site featuring excellence in artistic and traditional manufacturing from Venice.
Logistics
Participation in the walks is free with mandatory reservation by writing to hello@veneziadavivere.com (confirmation must be awaited).
To participate in the walks, it will be necessary to present the Green Pass. All events apply the measures indicated by the national health authority for safety. For this reason, the number of places is limited.
It is possible to visit the artisans independently by writing directly to the atelier’s contact reference (and awaiting confirmation).
Should any changes occur in the schedule, registered participants will be notified at the email address used for registration.
