A wonderful project that pays tribute to the Art of Glass Beads—a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage—is the museum of Venetian beads and seed beads created by Luisa Conventi.

Tony Green is a professional painter from New Orleans who has lived and worked in Venice since 1982. His painting focuses on the landscapes of Venice and the lagoon.

Laura Aletti lives and works in Venice. Born in Varese, she has lived in Egypt and London. She is now in the lagoon with her husband Pietro, her two children, and their dog TrueLife, who has his very own Facebook page 😉 A visit to her small workshop is a gift to the emotions, ranging from friendliness and colors to great energy.

Fashion atelier and community space. Opening of Francesca Carolo’s art exhibition with cocktails, Calle Lion 3385, Castello
Patience is a workshop and shop for handmade clothing created with great respect for the environment and people. It also serves as a meeting and collaboration space for artisans and artists, exhibiting the works of creatives on a rotating basis.
Sunday marks the opening of the exhibition of artworks by Francesca Carolo.

9) Sunset Yogurt

The contemporary Murano glass jewelry by Venetian artist Cosima Montavoci laughs at life and its imperfections, ironizing the power dynamics between individuals and commenting with irony on the themes of our time.
For Atelier Aperti, Cosima will demonstrate the creation of a piece of jewelry to two people at a time for ten minutes. While waiting, a small glass of wine will be offered to sip on the Fondamenta.

10) Atelier Kirumakata

Alessandra Gardin, architect and artisan, has been involved in planning and design for years. In 2013, her passion for lampworking and Murano glass beads—recognized as UNESCO Heritage since 2020—was born. Her training as a “perlera” (bead maker) followed the Murano masters. Today, her jewelry pieces are creations, true works of art.

Atelier Aperti | INFO
Atelier Aperti is part of the Venice Fashion Week ecosystem, the event that promotes Venice as a center of production and creativity. Venice Fashion Week returns to present Venice as a city of Haute Couture with fashion shows and events from October 9 to 23, 2021.
The next edition of Atelier Aperti will be from April 12 to 23, 2022, as part of the Homo Faber program.
Atelier Aperti supports #VeniceOriginal, a project by CNA Venezia that promotes craftsmanship through itineraries and an e-commerce site featuring the artistic and traditional manufacturing excellence of Venice.
Logistics
Participation in the walks is free with mandatory reservation by writing to hello@veneziadavivere.com (confirmation is required).
To participate in the walks, it will be necessary to present a Green Pass. All events apply the measures indicated by the national health authority for safety. For this reason, the number of places is limited.
It is possible to visit the artisans independently by writing directly to the atelier’s reference contact (and awaiting confirmation).
Should any changes occur in the programming, subscribers will be notified at the email address used for registration.
