Among the highlights:

The Belgian designer will transform Palazzo Pisani Moretta into a hub of contemporary creativity and craftsmanship.

• Atelier Aperti returns to artisan workshops and art spaces, with walks discovering fashion venues and Breakfasts with Designers.
• The international guest of Venice Fashion Week 2025 is the City of Gdańsk, with the international project The Amber Route: an exhibition featuring designers from around the world, workshops, and a fashion show-performance, curated by designers Jola Słoma and Mirek Trymbulak.
From October 20 to 26, Venice Fashion Week promotes Venice as an international laboratory for those looking to the future of fashion and design with an ethical, artisanal, and experimental perspective.
Conceived and organized by Venezia da Vivere, part of the official program of Major Events of the Municipality of Venice with the support of Vela Spa and the patronage of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, the event involves ateliers, textile mills, universities, foundations, hotels, and institutions, and collaborates with other city projects.
“Venice Fashion Week is born from the connection between territory, sustainability, businesses, and human relationships,” states Laura Scarpa, founder of the event with Lorenzo Cinotti. On the 2025 theme Craft Economy, Cinotti adds: “Venice embodies a new economic model: artisanal creativity and technological innovation build concrete alternatives to traditional luxury.”
Venice Fashion Week introduces training in communication and event organization: students from the Art Logistics course (Higher Technician for Logistics Management and Installation of Major Exhibitions and Cultural Events) at Fondazione ITS Marco Polo Academy will contribute to event organization and exhibition installation.
Demonstrating the city’s networking capacity, the event has for years created joint initiatives with partners such as Venice Design Week, Venice Cocktail Week, Università Iuav, Fondazione Giancarlo Ligabue, Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri D’Arte, Associazione Sant’Elena, Associazione Piazza San Marco, and The Home of The Human Safety Net.

The exhibition is accompanied by a book dedicated to the anniversary with previously unpublished material from the archives: historic fabrics, original pattern designs, and never-before-published documents that tell the story of the Bevilacqua family’s artisanal heritage.
The Blue Artisan: Venezia da Vivere and Seguso Vetri d’Arte annually award recognition to artisanal excellence that has successfully passed on its knowledge to new generations.
