Venice Sustainable Tourism, roundtable at The Human Safety Net with Venice tourism stakeholders to share best practices for making tourism a resource for the well-being and life of the city
Venezia da Vivere addresses the theme Venice and the tourism of tomorrow with a series of meetings with institutions, foundations, entrepreneurs, communicators, and experts in international and Venetian tourism.
In collaboration with the Municipality of Venice, under the patronage of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and in partnership with Vela Spa, on the morning of March 31, 2023, Venice tourism stakeholders will meet to explore innovative pathways, jointly design Venice’s transition to a sustainable destination, and make tourism a resource for well-being and life in Venice.
One Year of Venice Sustainable Tourism
The meeting is the first of three appointments in 2023 and initiates a mapping of the sustainable cultural and tourism offerings existing in Venice, understood as a driver for quality tourism demand, in preparation for an international conference in 2024.
Objectives:
– make tourism a resource for well-being and life in Venice
– create the sustainable tourism network in Venice (projects already underway and to be launched in the short-to-medium term, and new partners)
– activate new partnerships
– make Venetian sustainable tourism best practices visible
Sustainability is an essential element for a growing number of travelers. An international city with a human dimension, Venice is a natural capital of sustainability that has brought together creativity and technology for 1,600 years.
Influential for global media and an ideal place to launch innovations that profoundly transform society, Venice can show the way for the tourism of the future.
In addition to choosing to position itself among destinations sought by quality tourism, Venice has already embarked on a transition toward sustainability with various innovative projects and practices that originate from the Municipality and involve institutions, entrepreneurs, and citizens.

Venice Sustainable Tourism is a project by Venezia da Vivere, a digital communication, events, and projects company whose mission is to support talent and promote Venice as an ideal city in which to live and create. The first meeting is part of the official program of Venice Fashion Week Research Edition 2023, in Venice from March 30 to April 2.
