Venezia75: from the Venice Film Festival all the prizes, the films, the red carpet and the stars<\/h2>\n

The 75th edition of Venice Film Festival is over and Alfonso Cuaron<\/strong> is the winner of the Golden Lion with \u201cROMA<\/strong>\u201d. Willem Dafoe wins the Coppa Volpi<\/strong> as Best Actor and Olivia Colman<\/strong> the award as Best Actress, for her \u201cQueen Anne\u201d impersonation in \u201cThe Favourite<\/strong>\u201d. Two women tales triumph in the year of the low female actresses participation controversy.<\/p>\n

The Jury of the Venezia 75 competition awarded the official prizes as following:<\/p>\n

The Golden Lion for Best Movie goes to\u00a0\u201cRoma<\/strong>\u201d by the Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron<\/strong>
\nThe Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize goes to \u201cThe Favourite<\/strong>\u201d by Yorgos Lanthinos<\/strong>
\nThe Silver Lion for Best Director goes to Jaques Audiard<\/strong>, for the movie\u00a0 \u201cThe Sister Brothers<\/strong>\u201d.
\nThe Coppa Volpi Award for Best Actor goes to Willem Dafoe<\/strong> (At Eternity\u2019s Gate)
\nThe Coppa Volpi Award for Best Actress goes to Olivia Colman<\/strong> (The Favourite)
\nAward for Best Screenplay goes to Joel and Ethan Coen<\/strong> (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs).
\nLast but not least, the Special Jury Prize and \u201cMarcello Mastroianni\u201d Award for Best New Young Actor (Bakali Ganmbarr) go to The Nightingale<\/em>\u201d by\u00a0 Jennifer Kent.<\/p>\n

The members of the international Jury of the \u201cLuigi De Laurentiis\u201d Venice Award for a Debut Film \u2013 Lion of the Future, awarded another woman: the Syrian director Soudade Kaadan<\/strong> (The day I lost my Shadow)<\/p>\n

Orizzonti Award for Best Film goes to \u201cManta Ray<\/strong>\u201d of the Thai Director Phuttiphong Aroonpheng<\/strong>, Best Director is Emir Baigazin<\/strong> (Ozen \u2013 The river); Special Orizzonti Jury Prize goes to \u201cAnons \u2013 The announcement<\/strong>\u201d by Mahmut Fazil Coskun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Orizzonti Award for Best Actor goes to Kais Nashif<\/strong>, (\u201cTel Aviv on Fire<\/strong>\u201d) and for the Best Actress goes to Natalya Kudryashova<\/strong> (The man who surprised everyone). The Award for Best Screenplay goes to Pema Tseden<\/strong> (\u201cJinpa\u201d) and best Short Film is \u201cKado<\/strong>\u201d by\u00a0 Aditya Ahmad.<\/p>\n

\u201cC\u2019est \u00e7a l\u2019amour<\/strong>\u201d by Claire Burger\u00a0 is the winner of the collateral section \u201cLe Giornate degli Autori\u201d. \u201cWerk Ohne Autor<\/strong>\u201d by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck<\/strong>\u00a0 and \u201cCapri-Revolution<\/strong>\u201d by the italian\u00a0 Mario Martone<\/strong> win some other collateral Awards.<\/p>\n

\n \n \"Ph <\/a>\n \n \"Ph <\/a>\n \n \"\" <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We want to especially highlight the award to best original track to \u201cSuspirium\u201d by Thom Yorke<\/strong>, leader and frontman of the band Radiohead (Soundtrack Stars Awards). The original soundtrack of the movie will be available October 28, right after the upcoming Venice Fashion Week.<\/p>\n

Some collateral awards involved the city of Venice: the jury of \u201cLa Pellicola d\u2019Oro\u201d Award,\u00a0 gave a Career Award to\u00a0 Atelier Nicolao<\/strong> run by tailor Stefano Nicolao \u201cfor his artistic and handicraft production\u201d.\u00a0 The Venetian Cinema Glass Lion Award, instead, eas given to the venetian actress Maria Roveran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The experience of Venezia75 will be unforgettable for Venezia da Vivere’s team. This year our photographers and movie-lovers attended the festival at different levels: movies, parties, photography and fashion. And while official juries choose the winners, we created our own top chart.<\/p>\n

The most elegant and charming woman was, according to our Instagrammers, the actress Cate Blanchett<\/strong>, dressed by Armani Priv\u00e9. On the podium there are also Natalie Portman<\/strong> and Tilda Swinton<\/strong>. The Brazilian Top Model Izabel Goulard<\/strong> is, instead, the most sexy woman on the red carpet.\u00a0It was really difficult to choose the most sexy woman because, this year, the trend was sobriety, sometimes using vintage outfits.<\/p>\n

Most elegant men were Willem Dafoe<\/strong> and Ryan Gosling<\/strong>, who dressed an amazing white jacket by Gucci. The most sexy man was instead the Italian actor Alessandro Gassman<\/strong>. He was considered by our instagrammers sexier than American star Bradley Cooper, as well as the Italian Leonardo Sbaraglia.<\/p>\n

A special mention goes to\u00a0Vahid Rad<\/strong>, iranian actor featured in the movie\u00a0As I lay Dying<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to “Ciak”, the best movies in the official competition are, for Italian and international critics,\u00a0 \u201cROMA<\/strong>\u201d of Alfonso Cuaron<\/strong>, \u201cDoubles Vies<\/strong>\u201d of Olivier Assayas<\/strong> , \u201cThe Sisters Brothers<\/strong>\u201d of Jacques Audiard<\/strong>\u00a0 and “The Favourite<\/strong>\u201d of Yorgos Lanthimos<\/strong>. For the audience best movies are \u201cWerk Ohne Author<\/strong>” of Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck<\/strong>, “The Sisters Brothers<\/strong>\u201d of Jacques Audiard<\/strong> , \u201cRoma<\/strong>\u201d of Cuar\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0 and “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs<\/strong>\u201d of Coen Bros.<\/p>\n

VDV’s instagramers opinions are halfway from the votes by the critics and the public . Best movies for VDV’s instagramers are “Roma<\/strong>\u201d by Alfonso Cuaron, “Werk Ohne Author<\/strong>” by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and “The Favourite<\/strong>\u201d by Yorgos Lanthimos. Best Movies in Orizzonti section were \u00a0\u201cTel Aviv on fire<\/strong>\u201d by Sameh Zohari, “La noche de 12 a\u00f1os<\/strong>\u201d by \u00c1lvaro Brechner, \u201cHamchenan ke mimordam (As I lay dying)<\/strong>” by Mostafa Sayyari and “Sulla mia pelle<\/strong> (under my skin) by Alessio Cremonini. In other sections of the festival we were moved by “A<\/strong> star is Born<\/strong>\u201d by Bradley Cooper (out of conpetition), \u201cIl Banchiere Anarchico<\/strong>\u201d by Giulio Base (Sconfini) and \u201cThe other side of the wind<\/strong>\u201d by Orson Welles (special screening).<\/p>\n

Until the end of the festival, our instagramers worked like a close-knit team, attending all the most important events, allowing themselves little breaks together in order to share their experiences and to organise the rest of the day.<\/p>\n
