In Venice, sustainable fashion and craftsmanship capture the interest of a wider public thanks to Venice Fashion Week: there is creativity and research, high quality and networking in a program of events that is richer than ever.<\/h2>\n

The participation of an increasingly wider public has confirmed the importance of Venice Fashion Week<\/strong>, an event that promotes the Made in Italy<\/strong> and the Venetian companies committed to sustainable fashion, craftsmanship and haute couture.<\/p>\n

The spring edition, dedicated to Women’s Creativity<\/strong>, opened the doors of 14 locations including palaces, hotels, ateliers, artisan shops and boutiques<\/strong>. 16 events took place – fashion shows, cocktail parties and performances – an event program spread throughout the city \u200b\u200bthat introduced 35 creative women.<\/p>\n

All the women’s collections have shown that Venice is a place of networking among the various players in the fashion arena<\/strong>: professionals, fashion designers, artisans, tailors, stylists, instagramers, photographers and journalists.<\/p>\n

The feedback received from both public and exhibitors demonstrates a growing interest<\/strong> in sustainable fashion<\/strong>, which focuses on craftsmanship<\/strong>, research, and the quality of materials<\/strong>, even for the most innovative ones. In fact, the results on the media<\/strong> and social<\/strong> front are excellent: over one hundred photographers, various newspapers, fashion editors and influencers from all over Europe have been accredited, and about 1,000 posts have been generated, with 250,000 interactions on social media.<\/p>\n

The worktable on Veneto Fashion will continue with increasingly important objectives<\/strong>; a project that involves each year fashion entrepreneurs, textile industries, political institutions, schools and creative professionals. The worktable of the recent edition, which took place in the Music Room of the Hotel Ca\u2019 Sagredo<\/strong> on the Grand Canal, has proposed Venice as the venue for an international debate on sustainable fashion<\/strong>, underlining the importance of high craftsmanship and the manufacturing tradition. The Venetian Fashion Week proposes this heritage in a new contemporary key, using modern technologies<\/strong> and innovative communication<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The protagonists of the Venice Fashion Week – Spring Edition<\/h3>\n

Venice Fashion Week began on March 27th with the presentation of the book by the Spanish writer Eugenia Rico<\/strong> Il sentiero del diavolo<\/em> in the Music Room of Ca’ Sagredo. The Hotel was packed with people including Venetians, hotel guests and university students, who with great attention listened to the words of the Spanish writer.<\/p>\n

Thursday March 28th opened with a toast at the Caff\u00e8 Todaro<\/strong> in Piazza San Marco: the bubbles of the Opera Serenissima<\/strong> of Villa Sandi<\/a> officially inaugurated the Venice Fashion Week together with the Piazza San Marco Association.<\/p>\n

Among tourists surprised by the presence of the models and photographers and a great enthusiasm of those present, the Spazio A boutique<\/a> on Calle Larga San Marco presented the collections of Alberta Ferretti, Moschino and Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafin<\/strong>i with a cocktail party inside the store. Platinum jewel talismans and hand-painted bags were the proposals of the two Venetian sisters Talys and Hygge at the Palazzo Bargarigo Hotel<\/strong> on the Grand Canal.<\/p>\n

On March 29th at Ca\u2019 Sagredo a workable<\/strong> among various companies, designers and institutions confirmed the intent to make Venice the seat of the international debate on sustainable fashion, craftsmanship and haute couture<\/strong>. At 7 pm, again at Ca\u2019 Sagredo Hotel, the Fabiana Filippi<\/strong><\/a> brand’s spring-summer collection was presented.<\/p>\n

A Fashion Lounge<\/strong> brought the highest proposals of Venetian artisan fashion to the historic terrace of the Hotel Bonvecchiati<\/strong>. A large audience, guided by the stylist Giulia Carli, was able to admire, among cocktails and music, the collections created and selected by eleven creative women: the jewel bags of Esther Dalla Valle<\/strong>; Vita di Vetro<\/strong> inspired by lights, patterns and colours of Murano glass by the Moretti<\/strong> sisters; the creative bags by Carla Plessi<\/strong> with studs and feathers and those by BVL Venezia<\/strong> made by Giulia Bevilacqua with fabrics created from the eighteenth century looms in the last textile factory in the city, Tessitura Bevilacqua<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Julia<\/strong> Venetians creative , are making the Zaz\u00f9 boutique<\/strong> the cult place for the most innovative fashion proposals; they presented outfits that mixed designers from all over the world, while the models who wore Norma Marz\u00e0’s Teod’amar<\/strong> showed how glamorous a handmade sea towel can be. All the outfits were worn by models who wore Micromega<\/strong> glasses with the most incredible shapes and colours, very light thanks to the technological innovations that characterize them.<\/p>\n

Saturday 30 March began with Venice Fashion Meet<\/strong>, the event dedicated to photographers and instagramers, between fashion and hidden treasures of Venice. In the Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua<\/a> Raffaele Dess\u00ec<\/strong>‘s performance between art and tailoring allowed us to better understand the world of precious fabrics. Rodolfo Bevilacqua explained to visitors the secrets of the oldest textile factory in the world.<\/p>\n

The Carlton Hotel on the Grand Canal<\/a> was a Creative’s Woman Club<\/strong> for a day, a tailor-made lounge to showcase the creations of eight designers: the jewellery of the Marisa Convento woman, the colourful recycled Micaela Italian Charme<\/strong> fur, the decorated Sicilian coffee with silk paintings and Venetian fabrics by Lucia Spampinato, the Vintage bags by Marinella Riga<\/strong>, the jewel clutch bags by Kristina Mc<\/strong>, the limited edition corsets by Nicoletta Lucerna<\/strong>, the gold and platinum jewels by Talys<\/strong> and the hand-painted bags by Hygge<\/strong>. Pasticceria Giotto<\/strong> created a cake dedicated to the event: La Veneziana<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n \n \"Barbarigo\" <\/a>\n \n \"Scala <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

La Scala Contarini del Bovolo<\/strong> is one of the hidden Jewels of Venice and hosted the creation \u2013 a site specific art work – of the South African fashion designer Romi Loch Davis<\/strong>. Also Gas Flagship store<\/strong><\/a>, the Vicenza Denim brand, took part in the Venice Fashion Week as always, proposing for this edition a workshop dedicated to jeans with a cocktail party by Bassanese Nardini <\/strong>and DJ sets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Saturday dedicated as much to fashion as it was to music. Two concerts were organized by the Association Piazza San Marco<\/strong> in partnership with Veneto Jazz<\/strong>, which also made the Baglioni Hotel Luna and the Hotel Saturnia protagonists of the evening.<\/p>\n

Zaz\u00f9<\/strong> and V73<\/strong>, two of the most beautiful Venetian boutiques, organized happenings to present the spring-summer season selections. At the Hotel Barbarigo<\/strong> the Atelier Martina Vidal<\/strong>, custodian of the ancient art of Burano lace, presented the new collection Martina Vidal 319<\/strong> with a fashion show. A party at the Hotel Savoia and Jolanda in San Marco celebrated the end of the Fashion Week Spring Edition with the corsets by Nicoletta Lucerna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
