Venice Fashion Week <\/b><\/a>is the event organized by Venezia da Vivere<\/b> that celebrates and promotes emerging talent and Venetian craftsmanship. From Wednesday, March 23 to Saturday, March 26, 2022<\/b>: fashion shows, cocktails, exhibitions, and meetings.<\/p>\n

The future is artisanal<\/b>: under the patronage of the City of Venice <\/b><\/a>and Homo Faber<\/a><\/b>, and dedicated to craftsmanship, sustainability, and haute couture<\/b>, Venice Fashion Week is a contemporary narrative of the m\u00e9tier d\u2019art<\/i>.<\/p>\n

The promotion of emerging talent<\/b>, partnerships between Venetian craftsmanship and contemporary designers, the renewed interest in tailoring<\/b> and made-to-measure<\/b> within the luxury market, and the commitment to bringing the international debate on sustainable fashion to Venice <\/b>are the core themes of the event.<\/p>\n

Venice Fashion Week celebrates the 1600th anniversary of Venice <\/b><\/a>with events dedicated to the creative women of Venice<\/b>, a collection and an exhibition featuring Burano Lace<\/b>, sartorial collection runway shows, and the presentation of the #VeniceFashionPeople<\/b> network of fashion and craft creatives.<\/p>\n

The Program<\/h2>\n

Wednesday, March 23<\/h3>\n

At 12 PM<\/strong>, the opening of Venice Fashion Week 2022 – Spring Edition will take place in the Music Room of Palazzo Sagredo <\/b><\/a>with a meeting between fashion designers and experts in craftsmanship and sustainable fashion.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>On Wednesday, March 23 at 7:30 PM<\/b>, the first fashion show of Venice Fashion Week takes place on the historic Terrace of the Hotel Bonvecchiati<\/a><\/b>, presenting the brand Mine de Rien<\/b><\/a>. The evening wear collection by Francesca Venuti<\/b> brings handmade pleating<\/b> into the future with unique volumes and geometries, and is dedicated to the woman who designed the Delphos<\/i> gown: Henriette Nigrin<\/b>, wife and muse of Mariano Fortuny<\/b>. The lives and creations of these artists, who chose Venice as their place to live and create, are masterfully narrated in their home, the Palazzo Fortuny Museum<\/b><\/a>. <\/p>\n

The evening will continue with the designers, creatives, and people working in Venice in the fields of fashion, design, and craftsmanship: the #VeniceFashionPeople<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Thursday, March 24<\/h3>\n

At 6:30 PM<\/strong>, Venice Fashion Week is at the Boutique Hotel Corte di Gabriela<\/a><\/b>, a 19th-century Venetian palace, with two fashion shows: the haute couture of Fosca Parisi <\/b>and Luna Pesce<\/b>, designers of the brand Atelier23<\/b><\/a>, and MyssDuval<\/b><\/a>, the first sartorial collection by the very young Marina Amicucci<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The evening continues with fashion and music at the Terrazza Aperol<\/b><\/a> in Campo Santo Stefano, a new space blending sustainable design and conviviality.<\/p>\n

Friday, March 25<\/h3>\n

At 6:30 PM, Palazzo Sagredo <\/b>presents a Venezia da Vivere project that combines contemporary design with high craftsmanship: Being Luisa<\/b><\/em> is the collection created by Finnish designer Jasmin Santanen<\/b><\/a> and Atelier Martina Vidal<\/b><\/a>, guardian of the art of Burano Lace<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The project is under the patronage of the Embassy of Finland in Italy <\/b><\/a>and lays the foundation for a collaboration on the themes of fashion, craftsmanship, and sustainability.<\/p>\n

Luisa Casati<\/strong>
\nDedicated to Marchesa Luisa Casati<\/b>, the archetype of a free and creative woman, the collection will be on display from Saturday, March 26 until April 5<\/b> at the Magazzino Gallery of Palazzo Polignac<\/a><\/b>. The exhibition opening is at 6 PM. <\/p>\n

\n \n \"\" <\/a>\n \n \"\" <\/a>\n \n \"\" <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Haute couture and sustainability<\/h3>\n

The major event in April 2022 dedicated to craftsmanship, Homo Faber<\/b>, features Japan<\/b> as the guest of honor this year. With a meeting that explores the connection between Venice, craftsmanship, and sustainable fashion, Venezia da Vivere and Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua<\/b> present A Dress for Venice<\/i><\/b><\/a>: <\/i>an exhibition of six kimonos made with fabrics from the Bevilacqua archive<\/b>. These are works of art, craftsmanship, and haute couture created by eco-designer Tiziano Guardini<\/b> with designs by artist Luigi R. Ciuffreda<\/b>. <\/p>\n

Part of the Homo Faber in Citt\u00e0<\/b> program, the exhibition will be open to visitors from April 10 to 29<\/b> in the historic spaces of Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua on the Grand Canal, among original 18th-century Jacquard looms and machinery.<\/p>\n

Venice Fashion Week 2022 Spring celebrates Luciana Boccardi<\/b>, the unforgettable fashion journalist and writer, who was committed to promoting Venice as a city of haute couture<\/b>.<\/p>\n
