Venezia da Vivere presents the third edition of A Dress for Venice on Friday, October 20, 2023, in Venice<\/h2>\n

Craftsmanship as a value for the future of the planet: Venezia da Vivere presents A Dress For Venice 2023<\/b><\/em>, a project connecting designers, artisans<\/b>, and sustainable innovation<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the city of water, a limited edition capsule collection designed by eco-designer Tiziano Guardini<\/a> <\/strong> and illustrated by artist Jacopo Ascari<\/strong><\/a> will be created by artisan companies from Venice and the Veneto region\u2014guardians of the skills that make the region a global center of excellence in the fashion industry\u2014using fabrics made from Bemberg\u2122<\/strong> yarns by Asahi Kasei<\/a> for Martina Vidal<\/strong> <\/a> Venezia, a Venetian brand that incorporates Burano lace<\/strong>\u2014an ancient art nominated for the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list\u2014into clothing and interior design.<\/p>\n

The sustainable outfit was presented<\/b> during the Venice Film Festival<\/strong>, worn by actress Margot Sikabonyi<\/strong>, and is part of a capsule collection to be unveiled on Friday, October 20<\/strong> during Venice Fashion Week<\/b><\/a>, the event dedicated to tailoring, craftsmanship, and sustainable fashion in Venice, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and will take place from October 19 to 28, 2023<\/b>. The day <\/p>\n

In the Veneto Region room at the Hotel Excelsior<\/strong> on the Lido, Elena Donazzan<\/strong>, Regional Councilor for Education, Training, Labor, and Equal Opportunities, presented A Dress For Venice with creators Laura Scarpa<\/strong> and Lorenzo Cinotti<\/strong> of Venezia da Vivere.<\/p>\n

A Dress For Venice is also a mentorship and training project: companies and designers will meet students from fashion and communication schools in the Veneto region<\/b> to pass on the commitment to the environment in the creation of sustainable fashion collections, and the entire process will be shared through social media.<\/p>\n

For the creation of the capsule collection, Venezia da Vivere draws on a supply chain of excellence<\/b> within the Veneto fashion system<\/b>, characterized by the craftsmanship of its companies and a natural aptitude for sustainability<\/strong>, with the support of the Tavolo Veneto della Moda<\/b>, which represents Confartigianato, CNA, Confindustria, Confcommercio, and Confesercenti of the Veneto Region.<\/p>\n

The fabrics used to create the collection are produced by two major Italian companies with extensive experience in Bemberg\u2122 fashion fabrics: Infinity srl<\/b><\/a> from Trento and Tessitura Grisotto<\/b><\/a> from Varese. The textile printing is carried out by Creazioni Digitali<\/b><\/a>, a Como-based company specializing in digital sublimation printing, which, through the GreenDrop<\/i> project, will print on Bemberg\u2122 fabrics using pigment inks with reduced water consumption. <\/p>\n

Produced in Japan, Bemberg\u2122 by Asahi Kasei is a unique material that represents an example of a circular economy<\/b> because it is made from the smart-tech transformation of cotton linters, a pre-consumer material<\/b> converted through a traceable and transparent closed-loop process, ensuring certified sustainability credentials<\/b>. An INNOVHUB report confirms its soil biodegradability, and Bemberg recently obtained the OK biodegradable MARINE<\/b> certification from T\u00dcV AUSTRIA. <\/p>\n

\u201cA Dress for Venice brings together <\/i>manufacturing excellence<\/i><\/b> from the Veneto fashion supply chains, <\/i>international research<\/i><\/b> by Asahi Kasei on sustainability, and <\/i>the creativity of young talents<\/i><\/b>,\u201d<\/i> say Laura Scarpa<\/b> and Lorenzo Cinotti<\/b>, founders of Venezia da Vivere and creators of A Dress For Venice. \u201cThe network we have created brings together top-level players around an idea of virtuous fashion that modernizes and reaffirms the traditional Made in Italy style.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n

A Dress for Venice is held under the patronage of the City of Venice<\/strong>, the Tavolo Veneto della Moda, and Homo Faber – Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte<\/a><\/b>, which promotes fine craftsmanship and savoir-faire worldwide. <\/span><\/p>\n

Partners of the project include the global platform C.L.A.S.S.<\/strong> (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy)<\/a>, which pursues the mission of making the fashion supply chain more conscious, and of which Bemberg\u2122 by Asahi Kasei is a member, Marina Iremonger<\/strong>, Creazioni Digitali,<\/span> Garage Milano Marina Guidi<\/a> and Camera Buyer Italia<\/strong><\/a>, the national association representing the best multi-brand stores of excellence.<\/span> <\/p>\n
