An international forum to rethink the planet’s future: the global platform conceived by Riccardo Luna for dialogue on climate change is born in Venice<\/h2>\n

From June 3 to 8<\/strong>, 2025, Venice becomes a sustainability laboratory<\/strong> for the first edition of Venice Climate Week<\/strong>. Six days, seven locations, over one hundred speakers from around the world: the event, broadcast live on Ansa.it and SkyTg24, will take place at various Venetian venues: after the launch conference at the Salone Nautico<\/strong>, meetings will be held at the Corderie della Biennale, at Ca’ Foscari and IUAV Universities, at Ocean Space<\/strong>, at the Procuratie Vecchie<\/strong> in Piazza San Marco, at the new SEA BEYOND Ocean Literacy Centre<\/strong>, the first ocean education center in Italy developed by Prada Group and CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati on the island of San Servolo<\/strong>, the M9 Museum<\/strong> and Casa Sanlorenzo<\/strong>, the new art and culture center<\/strong> designed by Piero Lissoni and conceived by Sanlorenzo Yacht. <\/p>\n

100 international speakers<\/strong> for the initiative conceived and directed by Riccardo Luna<\/strong>, Italian journalist and innovator and first director of Wired<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Future Food Institute<\/strong>, an international ecosystem founded by Sara Roversi<\/strong> to address the major challenges of the global food system.<\/p>\n

Young people share the dialogue with climate<\/strong>: the Climate Shapers<\/strong> project involves selected students trained in a climate education program, who will follow the proceedings as facilitators and speakers, contributing to the collective narrative of the week.<\/p>\n

Among the speakers are Jeremy Rifkin<\/strong>, who opens the conversations with a keynote lecture entitled Planet Aqua<\/em>, Carlo Ratti<\/strong>, curator of the 2025 Architecture Biennale, Guendalina Salimei<\/strong>, curator of the Italian Pavilion, Luca Mercalli<\/strong>, Antonio Scurati<\/strong>, Federico Marchetti<\/strong>, Francesca Santoro<\/strong>, Stefano Micelli<\/strong>, Giovanna Melandri<\/strong>,<\/p>\n

The project’s launch press conference<\/strong> will be held at the Arsenale in Venice, during the Salone Nautico<\/strong>, aboard Almax Sanlorenzo<\/strong>, the first zero-emission superyacht<\/strong> equipped with a green methanol Reformer Fuel Cell, capable of powering onboard services with zero emissions.<\/p>\n

The event is supported by a network of partners that includes international institutions, universities, foundations, companies, and environmental organizations such as UNESCO-COI, NATIVA, Marevivo, WWF, Ocean Space, Prada Group, The Human Safety Net Foundation, Venice Sustainability Foundation, Legambiente, Veneto Region, and the Municipality of Venice.<\/p>\n
