For Barbieri, an Italian composer and musician, music becomes a generative force, a practice of relationship, and an opportunity to imagine unexplored worlds. It is from this idea that Barbieri’s curatorial direction takes shape, proposing sound as a tool of perception and as a creative act, capable of bringing into dialogue aesthetics, genealogies, and perspectives that may be very distant from one another.

Caterina Barbieri is one of the most interesting figures on the contemporary electronic scene.
