Giustinian on June 7 and 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>June 7 and 8<\/strong>, Venice will host the <a href=\"https:\/\/oceanliteracy.unesco.org\/ocean-literacy-world-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Ocean Literacy World Conference<\/a>, organized by the Prada Group and the <a href=\"https:\/\/oceanliteracy.unesco.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO<\/a>, on the occasion of <strong>World Ocean Day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Venice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will take place at the Venice Biennale headquarters at <strong>Ca&#8217; Giustinian<\/strong> and will see on the first day the <strong>participation of 150 delegates from 87 countries<\/strong>, who will discuss policies and strategies <strong>to integrate ocean education into school curricula<\/strong>, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).<\/p>\n<p>Among the event&#8217;s objectives is the <em><strong>Venice Declaration for Ocean Literacy<\/strong><\/em>, a programmatic document to be shared with United Nations member states.<\/p>\n<p>Participants include institutional representatives and international experts such as <strong>Magdalena Landry, Peter Thomson, Maria Chiara Carrozza, Nicola Bridge, Mario Sprovieri, Michela Schenetti, Sandra Casta\u00f1er, Shamim Wasii Nyanda, Afiq Durrani Mohd Fahmi, Ronaldo Christofoletti<\/strong> and <strong>Romain Troubl\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will be streamed on the &#8220;UNESCO Venice&#8221; The route winds from the Castello district to the Olivolo di San Pietro at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.docks-cucchini.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">_docks_ cantieri cucchini<\/a>, offering an immersion into the history of wine in Venice through stories of travels, rituals, and meeting places.<\/p>\n<p>During the evening, participants can explore three exhibitions set up in the _docks_ spaces and taste a selection of Malvasia wines from various Italian regions, accompanied by typical Venetian cicchetti. Reservation on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bibliotecanazionalemarciana.cultura.gov.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana<\/a> website is required to participate.  <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the thirteenth edition of Art Night, the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana will open its doors for an extraordinary visit to the Sansovino Library and the historic reading rooms, coordinated by Ca&#8217; Foscari University in collaboration with the City of Venice.<\/p>\n<p>The visit will be guided by librarians <strong>Monica Donaglio<\/strong> and <strong>Margherita Venturelli<\/strong>, who will illustrate the history of the San Marco Library building and the study rooms of the Zecca palace, the current home of the Library since 1904.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ennio Morricone &#8211; Marco Polo Soundtrack<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Piazza San Marco<br \/>\nSaturday, June 29, at 9 PM<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the end of June, Piazza San Marco will host an extraordinary event: the first live performance of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morriconemarcopolovenezia.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><em><strong>Marco Polo<\/strong><\/em><\/a> soundtrack, composed by Maestro <strong>Ennio Morricone<\/strong>, as part of the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of the death of the great Venetian traveler.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Orchestra Regionale Filarmonia Veneta<\/strong> and the <strong>Cantori Veneziani<\/strong>, conducted by <strong>Danilo Rossi<\/strong>, will perform the original scores in a show that combines music, cinema, and history.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by <a href=\"https:\/\/zen-production.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Zen Production<\/strong><\/a> in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/venetojazz.com\/eventi\/ennio-morricone-marco-polo-soundtrack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Veneto Jazz<\/strong><\/a>, and sponsored by the City of Venice and the National Committee for the celebrations, the event will also feature the screening of images from the RAI television series of the same name directed by <strong>Giuliano Montaldo<\/strong>, with costumes from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicolao.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Stefano Nicolao<\/strong><\/a> atelier.
