Times are changing: the Film Festival red carpet does not only showcase actors and films, but promotes sustainability with actress Margot Sikabonyi<\/h2>\n

As ambassador for the A Dress for Venice<\/strong> project at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, actress Margot Sikabonyi<\/strong> wore an eco-friendly dress in biodegradable fabric created by conscious designer Tiziano Guardini<\/strong> and illustrated by artist Jacopo Ascari<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

In addition to being a beloved figure in the world of cinema, theater, and television, Margot is also an active supporter of initiatives related to sustainability, well-being, and the environment. Her choice to wear a sustainable dress at the Venice Film Festival emphasizes her commitment to this cause. <\/p>\n

“The greenest dress of the Film Festival<\/strong><\/em>” is how newspapers defined the gown on the Venice red carpet: a dress from a collection designed by conscious designer Tiziano Guardini<\/strong> with illustrations by artist Jacopo Ascari<\/strong>, made with Bemberg\u2122 by Asahi Kasei<\/strong> biodegradable fiber, and featuring Burano lace elements from the historic company Martina Vidal Venezia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The dress represents the A Dress For Venice project, conceived by Venezia da Vivere<\/strong> to celebrate Venetian craftsmanship and raise public awareness about the urgency of sustainable fashion.<\/p>\n

Following the day at the festival, curators<\/strong> Laura Scarpa and Lorenzo Cinotti<\/strong> accompanied Tiziano and Jacopo to Burano<\/strong> to meet the lace-makers of the Martina Vidal Atelier, who are creating the lace details destined to enrich the garments of the capsule collection.<\/p>\n

The Burano-based company Martina Vidal Venezia produces the entire A Dress for Venice collection<\/strong>, which will be presented on Friday, October 20 at Venice Fashion Week<\/a><\/strong>, the event dedicated to tailoring, craftsmanship, and sustainable fashion that this year celebrates 10 years and will take place in Venice from October 19 to 28, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project is supported by a supply chain of companies identified by the Tavolo Veneto della Moda<\/strong>, the global platform C.L.A.S.S.<\/strong> (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy), and benefits from the partnership of Camera Buyer Italia<\/strong> and the media partnership of The Italian R\u00eave<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Dress For Venice was conceived by Venezia da Vivere in 2019 to celebrate 1600 years of Venetian craftsmanship<\/h3>\n

It is under the patronage of the Regione del Veneto<\/strong>, the Comune di Venezia<\/strong>, the Tavolo Veneto della Moda<\/strong>, and Homo Faber – Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d\u2019Arte<\/strong>, which promotes fine craftsmanship and savoir-faire worldwide.<\/p>\n
