Major events for a city always at the heart of international cultures and essential themes such as sustainability and the future <\/h2>\n<p>The first event on the calendar is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.venicedesignweek.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Venice Design Week<\/strong><\/a>, the Design Festival in Venice, organized by the cultural association <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artedesignvenezia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Arte e Design Venezia<\/a> in collaboration with Venetian institutions.<\/p>\n<p>In its thirteenth edition, <strong>from October 1 to 9<\/strong>, Venice becomes a center for discussions and interpretations in the world of contemporary design, innovation, planning, and ideas between local and multicultural craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<p>The 2022 theme <em>ORIGINS<\/em> is the key to a series of conferences (in-person and streaming) that highlights obstacles and opportunities in design, ranging from design fields on the environment, medicine, sustainability, and daily life to new technological languages, software, and developments in artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<h3>The Tea Ceremony and Carlo Scarpa<\/h3>\n<p>The deep connection between the Venetian architect <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.veneziadavivere.com\/en\/carlo-scarpa-venice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carlo Scarpa<\/a><\/strong> and Japanese culture comes through the tea ceremony at the <strong>Negozio Olivetti del FAI<\/strong> in Piazza San Marco under the arcades of the Procuratie Vecchie.<\/p>\n<p>On October 1 and 29 at 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM, after the guided tour of the Negozio Olivetti, you can experience a special moment: the meditative and religious ritual of the tea ceremony, led by master <strong>Senyo Machida<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The price for the ceremony is \u20ac20 for FAI members and for ages 6 to 18, \u20ac25 full price. Novelle in bottega<\/em>, freely inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio&#8217;s <em>Decameron<\/em>, curated by <strong>Mattia Berto<\/strong> and <strong>Giorgia Chinellato<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A widespread event for the shops in the area as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teatroinbottega.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Teatro in Bottega<\/strong><\/a> project that brings theater to the unusual spaces of Venetian shops and beyond: &#8220;<em>It&#8217;s like an open-air scene<\/em> \u2013 explains the director \u2013 <em>we act in butcher shops, greengrocers, bookstores, cobblers, workshops, and city spaces with sudden actions that do not distort the place but use it as a privileged set<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Participation is free admission, no reservation required.<\/p>\n<h3>Friend Water<\/h3>\n<p><i class=\"\">Be Water, My Friend<\/i> is the title of the upcoming exhibition at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/albertapane.com\/exhibitions\/be-water-my-friend\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Galleria Alberta Pane<\/a><\/strong>, from October 8 through December 23, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Relational tensions, the exhibited works are like water, which is formless until it understands, and becomes the relationship toward which it tends.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Curated by <strong>Chiara Vecchiarelli<\/strong>, the exhibition is a collective of six international artists: <strong>Luciana Lamothe<\/strong>, <strong>Jojo Gronostay<\/strong>, <strong>Eva L&#8217;Hoest<\/strong>, <strong>David Horvitz<\/strong>, <strong>Nicola Pecoraro<\/strong>, and <strong>Enrique Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Donizetti at La Fenice<\/h3>\n<p>From October 14 to 22, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatrolafenice.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Teatro La Fenice<\/a> presents <em>La fille du r\u00e9giment<\/em>, an opera among the finest operatic comedies of all time with music by <strong>Gaetano Donizetti<\/strong> and libretto by Jean-Fran\u00e7ois-Alfred Bayard and Jules-Henri Vernoy de Saint-Georges.<\/p>\n<p>Set in the Tyrolean Alps, it tells the story of Marie, an intrepid foundling raised as a vivandi\u00e8re by a regiment of Napoleonic soldiers. Admission is free from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. <\/p>\n<h3>The Regatta Weekend<\/h3>\n<p>Venice&#8217;s hotel excellence competes with sailing prowess for the Grand Prix of the City of Venice. Everyone ready <strong>Saturday, October 15<\/strong> for the ninth edition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yachtclubvenezia.it\/venice-hospitality-challenge-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Venice Hospitality Challenge<\/strong><\/a>: the only regatta in the world reserved for maxi yachts and held in the internal waters of a city circuit. <\/p>\n<p>Sunday <strong>October 16<\/strong> is the turn of the 15th edition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veleziana.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Veleziana<\/strong><\/a> regatta, organized by Compagnia della Vela. The only sailing event that allows racers to arrive under full sail in the basin of San Marco. <\/p>\n<p>The Veleziana is a typical Venetian regatta and winds along a course that starts from the Aperti<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 routes open to the public to discover artisan ateliers on the weekend of <strong>October 22 and 23<\/strong> \u2013 and a series of round tables, a salon dedicated to artisan accessories will open: <strong><em>Ornamenti<\/em>, at Palazzo Sagredo, from October 26 to 28<\/strong>, with the intent of making visible the fashion supply chain in Venice and Italy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Where Fashion Is Born<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Nicolao Atelier<\/strong>, the <strong>Sartoria del Teatro La Fenice<\/strong>, and the <strong>Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua<\/strong> are the venues chosen in Venice to be part of the national circuit of <a href=\"https:\/\/apritimoda.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Apritimoda<\/strong><\/a>, the project born in 2017 from an idea by <strong>Cinzia Sasso<\/strong> and realized together with Eleonora Grigoletto, Lidia Pezzoni, Emma Pradella, Andrea Chisu, Mariavittoria Zaglio, and Marta marathon, recognized worldwide by the IAAF and certified Bronze Label, has a route that goes from Villa Pisani in the Riviera del Brenta, passing through the splendid villas of the area, to arrive in Venice, in Piazza San Marco.<\/p>\n<h3>Autumn Music Festival<\/h3>\n<p>Saturday, October 1 inaugurates at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuolasangiovanni.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener On October 13, the event is dedicated to m\u00e9lodies with <em>Tesori nascosti<\/em> and the voice of <strong>Marie Gautrot<\/strong>.
