It is also a month of significant cultural events such as the Regata Storica, the Biennale Musica, Glass Week\u2014falling within the United Nations International Year of Glass (IYOG 2022)\u2014and Venice Cocktail Week.  <\/p>\n<h3>Spectacle on the lagoon<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Until September 10, 2022<\/strong>, <em>Cinema Galleggiante &#8211; Acque Sconosciute<\/em> (Floating Cinema &#8211; Unknown Waters) returns to the waters of the Venice lagoon, featuring international cinema, musical, and theatrical performances.<\/p>\n<p>The program includes auteur films, 50 authors from around the world, more than 30 cultural organizations, and Venetian rowing clubs that will ferry spectators without boats to the shallow area adjacent to the Retro Giudecca canal, near the Rio de Sant\u2019Eufemia.<\/p>\n<p>Among the new features: on September 16, 17, and 18, from the afternoon until dusk, various musicians will interact with an interactive sound installation by Turin artist <strong>Alessandro Sciaraffa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The surreal, oneiric visions, and dreams are the themes of Cinema Galleggiante 2022, the same themes found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veneziadavivere.com\/earth-day-leonesse-biennale-arte-2022-venezia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Venice Art Biennale<\/a> (open to the public until November 21) and in the exhibition <em>Surrealism and Magic: Enchanted Modernity<\/em>, still ongoing until September 26 at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guggenheim-venice.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Peggy Guggenheim Collection<\/a>, which is a new partner of the event this year along with Chantal Crousel Consulting, the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan, and Combo.<\/p>\n<p>A project by <strong>Edoardo Aruta<\/strong> and <strong>Paolo Rosso<\/strong> presented by Microclima, in collaboration with TBA21\u2013Academy &#8211; Conservatory at Palazzo Pisani, and the Squero of the Giorgio Cini Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/static.labiennale.org\/files\/musica\/Documenti\/programma-musica-22d.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Program<\/a> features numerous events focused on new forms of <strong>contemporary musical theater and the role of new technologies<\/strong>, multimedia, and virtual and augmented reality applied to sound.<\/p>\n<p>The Biennale Musica 2022 is an experimental stage featuring works by artists from all over the world, from Dutch composer and director <strong>Michel van der Aa<\/strong>, who presents <em>The Book of Water<\/em>\u2014based on the theme of land erosion caused by rain and flooding, inspired by Max Frisch&#8217;s novel <em>Man in the Holocene<\/em>\u2014to Sicilian <strong>Paolo Buonvino<\/strong>, who presents a scenic concert based on the experience of a collective breath as sound and vital gesture.<\/p>\n<p>Italian premieres include the <em>Sleep Laboratory<\/em> project by <strong>Alexander Schubert<\/strong>: a one-hour immersive and participatory performance where the audience is invited to lie on camp beds and, while wearing VR goggles, is transported into different sound realities between dreams and visions.<\/p>\n<p>On the festival&#8217;s opening night at <strong>Teatro La Fenice<\/strong>, a new production of <em>Jules Verne<\/em> by <strong>Giorgio Battistelli<\/strong>, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement 2022, will be staged, curated by <strong>Angelo Linzalata<\/strong> and performed by <strong>Antonio Caggiano<\/strong>, <strong>Rodolfo Rossi<\/strong>, and <strong>Gianluca Ruggeri<\/strong>, founders and members of <strong>Ars Ludi<\/strong>, Silver Lion 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The festival also features classics of &#8220;instrumental theater&#8221; by <strong>Mauricio Kagel and Georges Aperghis<\/strong> and works by composers <strong>Carola Bauckholt<\/strong> and <strong>Fran\u00e7ois Sarhan<\/strong>, as well as a collaboration with <strong>Rai Radio 3<\/strong> for <em>Lezioni di Musica<\/em>: four episodes curated by <strong>Paola Damiani<\/strong>, live from Ca&#8217; This international exhibition celebrates artistic glass jewelry, promoted by the Venice Art Design Cultural Association and curated by Lisa Balasso and Eleonora Varotto.<\/p>\n<p>For The Italian Glass Week 2022, on <strong>September 18 at 11:00 AM<\/strong>, there will be a free meeting with the international designers and artists participating in the festival created for the International Year of Glass.<\/p>\n<p>The Transparent Breath celebrates the genius of the artist, the breath that shapes the material and makes it as unique as it is eternal.<\/p>\n<p>On display are creations made using various glass-working techniques.
