Trilogy <\/em>at<strong> Magazzino 3<\/strong> at the Zattere, open to the public <strong>until April 3, 2022<\/strong>. The exhibition by the Venice Academy of Fine Arts celebrates the pioneer of Italian video art, <strong>Fabrizio Plessi<\/strong>, and his collaboration with director and choreographer <strong>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric<\/strong> <b>Flamand<\/b> for the shows <em>The Fall of Icarus<\/em> (1989), <em>Titanic<\/em> (1992), and <em>Ex-Machina<\/em> (1994). <\/p>\n<p>The tribute to the Master was initiated by the curators and professors of the School of Scenography and Stagecraft of the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, <strong>Lorenzo Cut\u00f9li <\/strong>and<strong> Nicola Bruschi<\/strong>, and is accompanied by the exhibition <strong>Plessi. From 10 to 25 euros for four operas: <em>I lombardi alla prima crociata<\/em> by Giuseppe Verdi, <em>La Griselda<\/em> by Antonio Vivaldi, <em>Scipione nelle Spagne<\/em> by Antonio Caldara, and <em>Peter Grimes<\/em> by Benjamin Britten. <\/p>\n<h3>Sabine Weiss at the Casa dei Tre Oci<\/h3>\n<p>Curated by <strong>Virginie Chardin<\/strong>, <em>The Poetry of the Instant<\/em> opens on <strong>March 11 <\/strong>(until October 23, 2022) at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treoci.org\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Casa dei Tre Oci<\/strong><\/a>. It is the largest retrospective ever realized\u2014featuring more than 200 photographs, some previously unpublished\u2014on the Franco-Swiss photographer <strong>Sabine Weiss<\/strong>, who passed away just days before the end of 2021. <\/p>\n<h3>The Electronic Music of Nu Fest<\/h3>\n<p>Electronic and experimental music <strong>from Saturday, March 19 to Saturday, May 7<\/strong> in art spaces with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/venetojazz.com\/festival\/nu-fest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><em>Nu Fest<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, the festival of electronic and contemporary music in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/venetojazz.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>VenetoJazz<\/strong><\/a>. With the words of the Venetian philosopher Andrea Emo, <strong>Anselm Kiefer<\/strong> brings his artistic gesture to Venice <strong>from March 26 to October 29, 2022<\/strong>: a cycle of <strong>paintings created for the Doge&#8217;s Palace<\/strong> during 2020 and 2021. <\/p>\n<p>In the unique space of the <strong>Sala dello Scrutinio<\/strong>, Kiefer dialogues with the thirty-three monumental canvases on the ceiling and with the heroic significance of the entire decorative cycle of the Palace. In this instance, Venice is at the center of a research project, commissioning one of the greatest living artists to reflect on the role of contemporary art in addressing universal themes. <\/p>\n<h3>Marlene Dumas at Palazzo Grassi<\/h3>\n<p>At <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palazzograssi.it\/it\/mostre\/future\/open-end-marlene-dumas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Palazzo Grassi<\/strong><\/a>, preparations are underway for the installation of <em>Open-End,<\/em> the monographic exhibition of South African artist <strong>Marlene Dumas<\/strong>, which will open to the public on <strong>Sunday, March 27, 2022<\/strong> and run until January 8, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, part of the program dedicated to major contemporary artists, is curated by <strong>Caroline Bourgeois<\/strong> and the artist herself, and features more than 100 works including paintings and drawings, some previously unseen, from 1984 to the present.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing at <strong>Punta della Dogana<\/strong> until November 27, 2022, is the exhibition <em>Bruce Nauman: Contrapposto Studies<\/em> by one of the fathers of performance art.
