The third edition of the Venice Boat Show, a strategic city to represent the best of Mediterranean boating, unique in the world for its logistics, offering 1,600 years of maritime tradition and culture.<\/h2>\n

From May 28 to June 5, 2022<\/strong>, the third edition of the Boat Show<\/strong><\/a> is scheduled to take place in the Venice Arsenale<\/strong> shipyard complex: the excellence of Italian and international leisure boating, focusing on eco-sustainability<\/strong> and the green evolution of low-impact technologies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nine days<\/strong> in a water space of 50,000 sqm and<\/strong> 30,000 sqm of exhibition space<\/strong> for displays of design, nautical furniture, art, and Venetian artisanal shipbuilding.<\/p>\n

Major leading groups in national and international shipbuilding will be present: Ferretti Group<\/strong><\/a> has been present since the first edition with world premieres, from the highly anticipated Wallypower 58<\/em> to the smaller 43X<\/em>, alongside one of the flagships, the 32 m Custom Line 106<\/em>. New entries include Sanlorenzo<\/strong><\/a>, a yacht shipyard since 1958 which, for The Venice Biennale 2022<\/a>, sponsored the Italian Pavilion<\/a> alongside the fashion house Valentino<\/strong><\/a>; the Azimut | Benetti<\/strong><\/a> shipyard with an important fleet including the Magellano 66<\/em> and the Timeless<\/em> version of the 25 m; and Sunseeker<\/strong><\/a>, arriving from England with the 65 Sport Yacht<\/em> and the 68 Manhattan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

World premiere of the motorboats Anvera<\/strong><\/a> 58<\/em>, Monachus <\/strong><\/a>70<\/em>, Absolute<\/strong><\/a> 56 Fly<\/em>, Sessa Marine<\/strong><\/a> C3X<\/em>, by Falcon Tenders<\/strong><\/a> and Frauscher<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among the sailboats: Beneteau<\/strong><\/a>, More<\/strong><\/a>, the brand new Lagoon 50<\/em>, and Wauquiez<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

36 electric boats with motors<\/strong> including Harmo, <\/em> the Yamaha<\/strong><\/a> electric motor, mounted on Respiro<\/em>, a boat produced by Venmar<\/strong><\/a> based on the Lido of Venice.<\/p>\n

Motorsport starts in Venice<\/h3>\n

During the Boat Show 2022, the pilots of the electric boat that will race in the first season of the E1 World Electric Powerboat Series<\/em> in 2023<\/b> will be announced; the championship was conceived by Spaniard Alejandro Agag<\/strong> (Formula E, Extreme E) and Rodi Basso<\/strong>, an engineer with a background as technical director in McLaren’s racing department.<\/p>\n

The chosen team is primarily Italian and also Venetian<\/b>: led by entrepreneur Francesco Pannoli<\/strong>, energy management consultant; Claudio Iannelli<\/strong><\/a> of E-concept<\/strong><\/a>; offshore world champion Luigi Radice<\/strong>; motorsport specialist Eugenio Razelli<\/strong>; and Francois Richard <\/strong>of Lan\u00e9va Boats<\/strong><\/a> for general development.<\/p>\n

Art at the Boat Show<\/h3>\n

The Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia<\/strong> participates in the Boat Show with a series of activities, including a competition for the design of sustainable boats<\/b>, visits to the Dandolo submarine, and a Treasure Hunt.<\/p>\n

The winners of the International Competition for the selection of Boat Studies and Projects – Sustainable Navigation<\/em> will be awarded on June 2<\/strong> among the works presented in Tesa 99. Projects from the previous edition will also be on display: Glaros<\/em> by the Polito Sailing Team, a student group from the Polytechnic of Turin, and Dedalo<\/em> by the Audace Sailing Team from the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Trieste. <\/p>\n

Discover the Enrico Dandolo submarine<\/h3>\n

The discovery of the Enrico Dandolo submarine is part of the enrichment of the heritage of the Naval History Museum of Venice. Launched in 1967, 46 m long and 5 m wide, its task was to hunt nuclear submarines in the Mediterranean during the Cold War. <\/p>\n

Visits start from 2:30 PM on May 28 and continue until June 5 with short ten-minute tours from 10:30 AM to 7:20 PM, with mandatory booking at the Arsenale desk.<\/b><\/p>\n

A Treasure Hunt in the Arsenale<\/h3>\n

For families with children aged 7 to 12, there is a staged route guided by an educator to discover the historic sites of the Venice Arsenale, on the following days: May 28 and 29, and June 2 at 11 AM (except 28.05), 2:30 PM, and 4 PM.<\/p>\n

For those who purchase a ticket for the Civic Museums of Venice, entry to the Boat Show is \u20ac10 and vice versa.

Highlights of the first 7 days of the Boat Show<\/h3>\n

Numerous conferences, presentations, and sporting initiatives will also take place in the city on themes of sustainability and the environment<\/strong> with the participation of experts from all over the world.<\/p>\n

The first appointment, at the headquarters of the VIU – Venice International University<\/strong><\/a>, at 9 AM on May 28<\/strong>, is for the Venice Statement on the Law of the Sea and Sustainability<\/em>, the seminar on biodiversity protection, climate change, and the Blue Economy<\/strong> organized by the Italian Navy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Festa della Sensa<\/h2>\n

Sunday, May 29 at 10 AM<\/strong> in St. Mark’s Basin, the traditional Festa della Sensa<\/strong> will take place, with the Marriage of Venice with the Sea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At 11 AM, the first thematic meetings begin at the Arsenale with Waterfronts: The Declinations of Water<\/em>, curated by Studio Marco Piva<\/strong><\/a>, at the Torre di Porta Nuova of the Arsenale.<\/p>\n

Monday, May 30<\/strong>, at 3:30 PM<\/strong>, Area Scali, presentation of the book Dentro Luna Rossa<\/em> by Gianluca Atlante<\/strong> and the meeting Dentro Luna Rossa<\/em> with Fiamme Gialle athletes: Ruggero Tita<\/strong> and Romano Battisti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, May 31<\/strong>, in addition to the Flyboard Freestyle Show<\/em> at the Arsenale’s medium dry dock, Giulio Loris<\/strong> from the Associazione Vela al Terzo<\/a> will let us discover the evolution of a sailing sampierota<\/i> built by the Schiavon brothers in 1963.<\/p>\n

E-Regatta and other races<\/h3>\n

Wednesday, June 1<\/strong> at 4:30 PM, the parade of “full electric” boats of the E-Regatta<\/strong> with a route from the Darsena Grande, Cannaregio, Rialto, St. Mark’s Basin, and return to the Arsenale.<\/p>\n

Thursday, June 2<\/strong>, regatta with traditional vela al terzo<\/strong> boats between Chioggia and Venice; at 10 AM a double appointment: at the Darsena Grande for the E-Regatta Slalom trial and for the second phase of the Sci-Voga<\/em> race, an event created by Mirko Sguario<\/strong>, the creator of the Venice Hospitality Challenge<\/em>.<\/p>\n

At the Idroscalo at 3:30 PM, the final GT-Electra one-design speed race of the E-Regatta.<\/p>\n

Friday, June 3<\/strong>, at the Torre di Porta Nuova in the Arsenale, the conference Towards the Ecological Transition<\/em>. At 3 PM, an all-female challenge on Polynesian canoes<\/strong> with teams from the ForzaRosa International<\/strong><\/a> movement. Following this, at the Dandolo submarine area, the E-Regatta awards ceremony. <\/p>\n
