Wednesday, October 7<\/strong> at 11:30 AM at Ca\u2019 Farsetti, the Mayor of Venice Simone Venturini presents the program for Radar Venezia<\/strong>, the event that builds upon and evolves the Venice Fashion Week experience, with Laura Scarpa<\/strong> and Lorenzo Cinotti<\/strong> from Venezia da Vivere.<\/p>\n

For six days, ateliers, universities, institutions, foundations, manufacturers, and cultural sites will participate in a widespread program of exhibitions, fashion shows, tours, and meetings focused on fashion, art, craftsmanship, and design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Radar Venezia: a new map of the creative city<\/h2>\n

Radar Venezia stems from the work developed over ten years with Venice Fashion Week<\/strong> and Atelier Aperti<\/strong>. Artisans, designers, artists, companies, students, researchers, universities, foundations, and institutions participate in the narrative of Venice as a place of education, research, design, and contemporary production<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The calendar includes an appointment with Antonio Marras on Friday, October 23<\/strong> at the Procuratie in Piazza San Marco<\/strong> in conversation with Sara Sozzani Maino<\/strong>, a sartorial fashion show at the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista<\/strong>, and research on hospitality, fashion, and sustainability at Casa Flora<\/strong> with Alessandra Micolucci<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Artist books blending craftsmanship and fashion by Jacopo Ascari<\/strong> with Susanna Testa<\/strong> tell the story of the Fondazione Querini Stampalia<\/strong>; the research of South African couturi\u00e8re Romi Loch Davis<\/strong> leads us through art and performance; Designskolen Kolding<\/strong> presents a project spanning theater, craftsmanship, and fashion with Orsoni Venezia 1888<\/strong>; exhibitions by young artists bridge art and manufacturing; the Atelier Aperti<\/strong> itineraries and a Radar Night<\/strong> spread across outdoor spaces, boutiques, galleries, and cultural venues.<\/p>\n

From October 19 to 24, the public will be able to enter the ateliers<\/strong>, foundations, and Venetian cultural spaces to meet artists, artisans, designers, and businesses<\/strong> and learn about the processes involved in creating a work of art, a garment, or a project.<\/p>\n

Venice, a district of knowledge and creativity<\/h2>\n

Venice is home to universities, academies, schools, foundations, businesses, ateliers, museums, professional studios, designers, artists, and artisans. Radar Venezia connects these entities and creates opportunities for dialogue between education, production, and culture. The participation of universities and institutions is a central element of the 2026 edition.<\/p>\n

Venice Fashion Week and Radar Venezia<\/h3>\n

Venice Fashion Week<\/strong> showcases fashion in Venice. Designers, companies, ateliers, students, and artisans participate in a narrative dedicated to design culture, skills, production, and the new languages of fashion.<\/p>\n

A network of projects, people, and places that showcase the contemporary city throughout the year.<\/h3>\n

The goal of Radar Venezia is to make this network visible, highlighting the connections between those who produce culture and those who train new skills. The event thus becomes a tool for discovering Venice through the people who work, design, study, and produce there.<\/p>\n
