Saturday, March 30th, the Carlton Hotel on the Grand Canal will be transformed into a Sartorial Lounge: six creative artists will present their works in fashion, craftsmanship and design.
Overlooking the Grand Canal, with pastel colours, Venetian stuccos, Murano glass decorations and a panoramic rooftop terrace, the Carlton Hotel on the Grand Canal is the ideal location for an event dedicated to the world of Fashion.
Saturday 30th March from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm – thanks to Venice Fashion Week – the hotel on the Grand Canal will be transformed into the perfect setting for the Creative Woman’s Club event: a Sartorial Lounge dedicated to the work of six creative artists committed to craftsmanship, design and fashion.
Guests to the event will be able to admire the collections, all made by female designers, make a ‘brindisi’ with Serenissima Opere wines by Villa Sandi and taste handmade sweets by Pasticceria Giotto.
Here are the protagonists of the Creative’s Woman Club!
Nicoletta Lucerna: corsets for every occasion
In her small shop near Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Nicoletta Lucerna produces her clothes with cleverness and passion, in a perfect harmony with the traditions of the city, well known for the eclectic Carnival & Theatre’s costumes.
Among Nicoletta’s creations there are the Corsetti, a typical traditional accessory. These are presented by the fashion designer in a contemporary key; fine fabrics, colours and style are always being carefully selected. The result is the production of haute couture corsets: in silk, velvet or leather, with flounces, laces or bows for a timeless look.
Micaela Charme and the fur revolution
Micaela Charme transforms your fur into a green garment.
Michela Ambrosi – founder of the Micaela Charme brand – thanks to her intensive creativity has decided to recover old furs and give them a new modern reinterpretation: the result is a light, colourful and decidedly glamorous garment.
The fur is no longer prohibited, it becomes ecological: no animal is sacrificed and a garment that is now démodées, acquires a new meaning, thanks to Michela’s interpretation.
Micaela Charme offers recycle events throughout Italy; inviting customers to recreate together a new possible use for those furs that otherwise would end up wasted in the garbage.
New fashionable models and colours ensure customers a very high quality fur, but Micaela Charme can transform also your old furs into stoles, bags, collars and hats.
Marisa Convento and the art of ‘impirar’.
The word “Impiraressa” derives from the Venetian dialect and in particular from the verb “impirar”, which means “to thread” and indicates an exclusively female profession. The Impiraressa threads the beads, which are the glass pearls produced in Murano. Marisa Convento adopts the tradition of threading and composes jewellery, embroidery, flowers and corals with pearls and glass beads. For Venice Fashion Week, Marisa’s atelier is moving to the Creative Club at the Hotel Carlton to show the art of “impirar” to the public.
Lucia Spampinato and the union between Sicily and Venice
Lucia Spampinato aspires to an artistic and historical union between Sicily and Venice, two islands very different in customs and traditions but that, if joint and compared one to the other, can become the starting point for a mutual cultural growth.
It is only from a comparison that something new can be born; as in the case of Lucia. Her idea is to create straw handbags, as in the Sicilian tradition, but embellished with velvets, silks and Venetian pearls.
On each bag there is a portrait of a woman: the print of a biblical heroine of the Renaissance, of Leonardo’s angels and of Botticelli’s hymn to beauty.
Kristina MC: lightness and wearability for petite limited edition art objects
From fashion journalist to product designer, Cristina Maria Caione presents her collection of mini-bags, strictly Made in Italy, at the Creative Club. After a career as a fashion journalist, she decided to devote her life to product design and in 2017 she founded the Kristina Mc brand: mini-bags and jewellery, each single creation is designed to be a limited edition piece.
Small art objects that are inspired by ideals of lightness and wearability and that are adaptable to the new trends season after season.
Colour contrasts, research of carefully selected materials from the world of leather goods, fashion and furnishings such as tassels, calves, kids, brocades, jacquards, gabardines, embroideries all come together to create objects that are an extraordinary blend art and fashion.
Lella Vintage: a dream that becomes art!
Uniqueness with Vintage colours: these are the creations by Marinella Riga.
Lella Vintage is the brand through which the designer gives life to bags with the most eccentric shades and different styles: geometric, minimal or with a rock’n’roll look!
Lella Vintage handbags are the result of a meticulous research and they are all exclusively handmade.
Marinella can transform a bookmark into a precious detail to create a unique clutch: each creation is the result of the passion that drives this fashion designer to transform an idea into art.
