“Beautiful as a Queen” with Esther Dalla Valle’s bags
High quality and limited production are the characteristics that distinguish Esther Dalla Valle’s jewel bags, inspired by the imagery of the Palaces and Villas of the past. Created by Esther Nicetto, a young 27-year-old designer, the brand is the union of her name and her mother’s surname, who was her first supporter in this project.
The bags designed by Esther are handmade by expert Venetian craftsmen in the luxury leather shops of the Brenta Riviera. Each bag is unique, down to the last detail; they are crafted with high quality materials and trim, to maintain their beauty over time.
Esther Dalla Valle’s bags are a journey into a world full of decorations, crystals, jewels, lights and reflections: Beautiful as a queen! is the motto of this precious project that was born in 2018 between the cities of Florence, Padua and Rome. The original concept was created after a research on the Palace of Versailles and on the figure of Marie Antoinette’s style; the famous queen’s contribution to the world of fashion was all about luxury and exaggeration.
Glass Life: the traditional Murano glass colours the silk of the Moretti sisters’ headscarves
Vincenzo Moretti (1835-1901) has inspired numerous artworks through his Murrino glass production. His artistic commitment is illustrated by his collection of 102 sample tiles that contain, in their 4 × 4 cm, all the design and colour combinations created by the artist to decorate cups, vases and precious objects.
His three sisters Giovanna, Carlotta and Orsola Moretti have created the Vita di Vetro project to restore its artisan memory. From Moretti’s production of colours they draw their inspiration to transfer the colours, the transparencies and the precious imperfections of the glass into a new and precious material: the silk.
The result is the production of passion fruit silk scarves that evokes the history of a family that has always been committed to art and craftsmanship.
Giulia Bevilacqua is inspired by the Magnificence of the Serenissima in her BVL Venezia brand
With the BVL Venezia brand Giulia Bevilacqua, a young and talented Venetian fashion designer, carries on with the textile tradition of silk velvet of which the Bevilacqua family have been representing the excellence since the fourteenth century.
Born in Venice in 1989, Giulia grew up among ancient looms and precious fabrics. Like jewels, Bevilacqua fabrics show Giulia’s intuition to found her own brand: BVL Venezia reinterprets the legacy of her family fashion company in a new contemporary key.
Initially intended for the decoration of museums, noble palaces and churches, Bevilacqua fabrics are now used for the creation of unique bags, thread with high quality leathers and embroidered with precious stones from the hands of skilled craftsmen.
Precious stones and fabrics – metaphors of the magnificence of the Serenissima – are what Giulia refers to produce her unique bags; the result is a harmonious union between tradition and innovation, between research and manufacturing.
Zazù’s proposals for its 2019 spring – summer season
Research and craftsmanship are the founding values of the Zazù Boutique, with a dedicated mission to dress women.
Julia Tamari and Cristina Ignomeriello passionately select Italian and foreign designer collections: collections of high-end tailoring and craftsmanship, which can be admired in their boutique in the heart of Venice.
During the Fashion Lounge event, Zazù will show us the proposals for the spring-summer season: Catherine Andre, Cettina Bucca, Alysi and Tadashi will be the big names protagonists of the event organized on the Terrazza Bonvecchiati.
The clothes, selected with great care, will parade combined with Sergio Amaranti, Lella Baldi and Ettore Lami shoes, Pomikaki bags, Un te da matti, Ottaviani, Eliurpi hats and Ottaviani bijoux.
Design, strength and lightness are the key values of Micromega’s glasses
Micromega glasses are hand and tailor made; they summarise design, strength and lightness in a single accessory. Elegant, discreet or extravagant, minimal or eclectic: each product is unique and personalized to the wearer’s desires and needs.
No glue, no screws and no welding, but, due to their simplicity, they are incredibly durable.
The lenses are “sewn” by hand with special titanium thread, combined with various materials, precious and technological such as natural horn and carbon fibre. Each pair of glasses can be transformed into a real jewel: the frame can be made of gold or decorated with precious stone applications.
Teo d’Amar: Venice as the Queen of the Seas
Free time and beach towels, bags, Venetian coffe, furlane, headbands, turbans, bracelets, fashion accessories and furnishing accessories, all strictly made in Italy: this is the vast repertoire of high quality products by Teo d’amar, a project by the designer Norma Marzà.
The beach towels – centre pieces of the Teod’Amar collection – are made with fine fabrics and are designed with the six sestieri of Venice in mind: Cannaregio, Castello, Dorsoduro, Giudecca, San Marco and Santa Croce. The quest for quality and aesthetic values are summarized in a brand that celebrates the image of Venice as the queen of the seas, as the historical and fundamental hub for the exchange of precious goods.
Linen, silk, velvet, cotton and terry fabric damask and brocade are hand-sewn by Venetian artisans with passion and patience to create unique items inspired by the charm of the Serenissima.
Carla Plessi’s bags: precious art treasures
Art and fashion coexist in harmony in the creations of Carla Plessi, in her bags that seem to preserve the cultural heritage of a city that has always been devoted to the cult of beauty.
Unique pieces that, like a diary, contain the memory of a life dedicated to art, travel and curiosity: Carla Plessi is inspired by Venice and its artisan traditions, redefined for the modern age.
The photos are by Marco Sartori, Rossana Viola, Roberto Rosa for Venezia da Vivere.
