
Venice Fashion Week, Real + Digital, October 22-31. The Complete Program
Safe presentations in ateliers and in the secret rooms of Venetian hotels, events, exhibitions, fashion shows blending fashion and craftsmanship, ONLINE and live: the tenth edition of Venice Fashion Week begins with Venetian hotels as patrons of emerging designers, and Atelier Aperti, three days dedicated to artisan workshops opening to introduce creatives at work.
Artists, goldsmiths, bead-stringers, printers, florists – the artisans – are the lifeblood of Venice. Venice Fashion Week launches the Atelier Aperti Itineraries, to discover workshops and mastery. Discover the full program with access procedures and request accreditation for visits by reservation.
As in the times of the Serenissima Republic, Venetian hotels are meeting places where innovations for the future are born: Hotel Danieli, Corte di Gabriela, Palazzo Venart, Ca’ Sagredo, The St. Regis Venice, Aman Venice host fashion shows and events live and online, via streaming and social media. Venice Fashion Week Digital returns, with backstage footage, interviews, and fashion films.
Following the Prime Ministerial Decree of October 24, some events will be digital: watch them online.

It gives us great pleasure to begin Venice Fashion Week with Pieces of Venice, the sustainable design project by Karin and Luciano Marson. Luciano was recently awarded the Compasso d’Oro for the fourth time. In the historic Emilio Ceccato boutique founded in 1902, the two creatives will present San Polo 16/17, the latest addition to the collection of wooden objects dedicated to Venice, a magnet/candle holder inspired by the boutique at the foot of the Rialto Bridge.

Do.VE participates in Venice Fashion Week until October 31 with a widespread exhibition of photographs displayed in shop windows, offering new perspectives to passers-by, who become observers of the present. The exhibition is curated by Venice Photo Lab and Unisve Laboratory. Lost-wax casting is the millennial technique with which Valeria creates her jewelry, works of art in precious metal with inlays of semi-precious stones, coral flowers, gold, silver, and bronze, to create wearable sculptures that tell of emotions.

In the splendid Royal Suite of Hotel Danieli, the fashion show of the brand Martina Vidal, the fourth generation of a Venetian company that safeguards the artisanal heritage of Burano lace, bringing it into the future with contemporary design. Saturday’s itinerary to discover the Atelier Aperti in Venice starts with a coffee in Campo San Polo with the Atelier Lo Spazio 2091, a creative boutique where people dress, laugh, choose custom-made clothes, and share passions and projects.
Giorgia Starace, the designer of the artisanal brand 2091 Venezia, presents Valentina Ambrosi, a Milanese artist and designer. Formerly a creator of opening themes and music videos for Videomusic, Valentina manually creates book-sculptures and fashion accessories designed and painted entirely by hand. “Le mani vestite” is a small collection of hand-painted leather jewel gloves, customizable upon request. The trabaccolo Il Nuovo Trionfo is a historic sailing ship docked at Punta della Dogana that represents a city project born to recover an ancient boat and testify to the value of traditional maritime artisan crafts. Sunday’s itinerary to discover the Atelier Aperti in Venice starts with an aperitif in Campo Santa Margherita with Unützer, the boutique of Cinderella shoes, diva bags, and precious sneakers, handmade on the Riviera del Brenta, Made in Italy with a German heart. Fritz Unützer is in love with Venice, so his plans for the boutique/atelier include creating a workshop to produce custom handmade shoes. An ironic and mocking editorial “game” that traces a surreal picture through emotions, memories of characters met during her long career as an indomitable journalist, writer, and magazine director, who saw the birth of the greatest designers and witnessed the evolution of Italian fashion from the 1960s to 2020; a Venetian woman who, in the postscript of “Burlesque,” launches a “utopian” appeal for her beloved city.
