It is time for Venice Fashion Week and the runway shows in the palaces of Venice. They present the best of the local area’s sartorial and sustainable production.
The runway show opening Venice Fashion Week takes place at Palazzo Sagredo on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. It features the talents of great women who have chosen Venice to express their idea of artisanal and sartorial fashion.
In the Salone del Portego on the first floor of Palazzo Sagredo on the Grand Canal, next to the grand staircase with frescoes by Pietro Longhi, Creative Minds, Creative Hands takes the stage at 6 PM, featuring five brands by women who have found Venice to be the place to unleash their creativity.
Plissé dates back to the Egyptians and is always glam
The (mine de rien) woman is a perfect architecture. She wears three-dimensional origami dresses created using the ancient technique of pleating.
From Friuli and Verona, Francesca Venuti is an artisan with a degree in Design from the Academy of Fine Arts and IUAV. A designer for design and fashion companies, it was at Villa Berdini, the then Capucci Museum, that she met a pair of artisans who taught her her first great love: pleating.
Plissé is an ancient artisanal technique dating back to ancient Egypt that today risks being forgotten or replaced by industrial techniques. With great tenacity and love, Francesca reinterprets it in a modern key, creating unique and made-to-measure garments, also using fabric remnants from Italian fashion houses. It is a fully traceable and Made in Italy supply chain.
The creative design of Norma Marzà
Teod’Amar is joy, vitality, and lightness. Beach towels, bags, furlane shoes, kimonos, handmade accessories enriched with feathers, pom-poms, and colorful embroidered borders.

The brand’s fabrics and materials range from linen to cotton, from silk to velvet to terry cloth, damasks and brocades, worked with mastery and patience, as only Italian artisanal tailors can do.

The Èpaule 6419 woman is aware of her femininity and celebrates it as a mature expression of beauty. The sartorial project of women’s outerwear “born from a dream that tastes of memory,” as designer Sabrina Favaro defines it, meets tradition and the craftsmanship of know-how.
Èpaule 6419 is a return to the future that rediscovers precious yarns of the past and transports them into a modern dimension of conscious luxury.
Across the seasons 2021-2022 is the collection that will be presented at Palazzo Sagredo on October 20, 2021. Unique pieces made with low environmental impact, colorful and emotional, that cross all seasons and eras, enhancing and exalting every age of women.
Timeless elegance
Atelier Ca’ Beltà is a young Venetian brand born from the friendship of two women united by a great passion for tailoring and made-to-measure clothing.
Venice is their point of union, as is their atelier near Piazza San Marco, which aims to be a reference point for women in search of beauty and their own uniqueness through clothing.
All production phases take place in the atelier to achieve a garment that is unique in every detail. Always attentive to the client’s style and personality, and committed to creating easy-to-wear models for all women, Lidia and Olena carefully choose the right fabric and the most suitable line to ensure the highest level of comfort.
Perlera for a day
Perlamadre Design is a hymn to jewelry and Murano glass lampworking, an interpretation of the past in a new present, which transforms into a precious amulet that hides secrets and magic of local craftsmanship and design in each of its beads.
Simona Iacovazzi is the founder of the atelier with the large window, located in the new hub for creativity and artistic ferment in Venice, in the Dorsoduro district. A small space that creates large precious objects, where for a day you can become a “perlera”: experience glass lampworking, touching the history of Venetian beads firsthand and learning some of the most famous and ancient artisanal techniques in the world, as well as UNESCO intangible heritage since 2020.
The soundscape for the evenings is curated by Enrico Coniglio, a Venetian composer and sound artist.
Makeup is by three young makeup artists from Veneto: Anna Scarpazza, Melissa Perin, and Giorgia Rumiato.
The cocktail is accompanied by Bellini Canella.
