Fashion at Iuav 2026, at the Terese the Graduation Show in the year of the university’s Centenary celebrates the future of fashion
Friday, July 3, Fashion at Iuav returns, the annual event presenting the collections created by the graduating students of the fashion courses at Università Iuav di Venezia. In the year of the university’s Centenary, the Graduation Show will take place at 8:30 PM in the spaces of the Terese, recently restored and returned to the university community and the city.
Fashion at Iuav is the Graduation Show of the Bachelor’s degree courses in Fashion Design and Master’s degree in Moda | Fashion at Università Iuav di Venezia.
The collections and coordinators
The Graduation Show is the moment when the research and design process developed during studies meets the public. On the runway, a selection of clothing and accessory collections developed within the final workshops of the two degree courses is presented. The collections tell the stories of the new generations of designers’ research on the themes that currently traverse the fashion system, from identity to sustainability, from new ecologies to innovation and social transformations.
The collections of the Bachelor’s course are coordinated by Mariavittoria Sargentini, with Francesco Iacovino. Those of the Master’s course are coordinated by Judith Hohnschopp, in creative partnership with Simone Mussat Sartor and Marco Marino.
The event is curated by Alessandra Vaccari and Fiorella Bulegato, coordinators of the degree courses.
The show direction is by Annamaria Ajmone and Sara Sguotti, the sound design is by Rosachiavi and Carlo Chiusi. The visual identity is developed by Gianni Sinni and Iuav Design System Lab. Hair and makeup support is by IMA International Makeup Academy.
A fashion school, a laboratory on the future of the fashion system
The fashion degree courses at Università Iuav di Venezia train designers capable of addressing the contemporary fashion system. The offering includes Bachelor’s programs in Fashion Design, Communication and New Media for Fashion and Materials for Fashion, as well as the Master’s degree course in Moda | Fashion, in Italian and English, with the Fashion Design and Fashion Ecologies tracks.
The teaching combines research, experimentation and international exchange, in a community composed of students from different countries. Iuav thus contributes to making Venice one of the places where contemporary fashion is designed, in dialogue with the Biennale, artisans, cultural foundations and creative workshops that make the city an international reference point for research and education.
The archive that becomes a network. The Iuav MA Fashion Community is born in Venice
The Iuav MA Fashion Community is born these days, the digital platform conceived by the students of the New Media and Fashion Communities Studio workshop of the Master’s degree course in Moda | Fashion, Fashion Ecologies track. An archive that collects projects, skills and relationships, and that opens up to collaborations with the outside world.
Students, projects, photographers, garments and collections, all part of a creative network
The platform was created to consolidate the community of students and alumni, giving continuity to the work that develops during the university course. It collects and makes projects accessible, fosters new connections between people and skills and offers visibility to skills and works that do not find space on the runway. It is both an archive and a meeting space, a network to create opportunities for collaboration, exchange and professional growth.
Let’s Share, the exchange of garments as a circular fashion practice
Among the platform’s sections, Let’s Share is dedicated to sharing garments. When a profile displays the dedicated label, it means that the student makes a garment available for loans, shoots, studies or new storytelling opportunities. In this sense, Iuav MA Fashion Community tells the story of fashion as an open and inclusive collective practice, made of projects, skills, relationships, materials and research. We are curious to know its evolution.
