Concerts, science, and activities for young people and children: autumn events at the Procuratie, The Human Safety Net House in Piazza San Marco
A space for everyone in Piazza San Marco: the Procuratie are open with free admission for all with activities and events featuring philosophy, science, art, and music.
The month of November brings astrophysicist Amedeo Balbi to discuss space exploration. Scientists, artists, and innovators meet to discuss regenerative solutions for humanity at the Forum of Possibilities, organized by Sumus. The INVOLVED! series is a program aimed at students, associations, and the third sector to generate sustainable entrepreneurship. While the Venetians by Choice series celebrates those who have chosen to live and work in Venice, among the most beloved events is Values in Music, concerts in collaboration with the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory.

Sumus – Forum of Possibilities 2025
Living with Venice: creating and developing a new social model. The commitment of the Sumus project is to imagine a regenerative future for humanity, starting from Venice. At the third edition of the Forum of Possibilities, organized by Sumus at the Procuratie, researchers, artists, thinkers, indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, and citizens gather to shed light on the union of intelligences: human, natural, collective, ancestral, cosmic, and artificial.
The SUMus project, founded by French entrepreneur Hélène Molinari in Venice, is an international and independent movement that promotes a sustainable future through civic engagement and the co-creation of innovative solutions. On November 19, the opening session features five workshops from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On November 20, the International Day of Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights is dedicated to presentations by pioneers, scientists, artists, and innovators.
The Forum closes with a meditative and healing concert featuring Maud Gnidzaz performing the monodies of Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179), a German Benedictine abbess, mystic, theologian, scientist, writer, among the first composers in Western history and a pioneer of thought that unites science and spirituality, an ecological and feminine vision of knowledge.

The INVOLVED! InnovationLab for Sustainable Changemakers series is a public engagement program to generate social impact through sustainable entrepreneurship, aimed at students, associations, and the third sector. On Wednesday, November 19, for ReadingLab, with Baba Jaga and A2030Odv – Social Innovation Designers, author Giancarlo Vianello presents Unus Mundus, a book that invites readers to view the world as a single, connected whole.

Perseverance Path: the strength of relationships – The Value of Relationships
For families with children aged 4-7
Second session of the training and discussion path dedicated to parents and educators. While children play in a dedicated space, adults experience moments of discussion and guided reflection with professionals from Baba Jaga – The House of Wonders. Pedagogist Anna Giardi guides participants on a journey to become conscious parents, starting from the concept that no one is born an educator: one becomes one, step by step. The session focuses on potential and resources to learn how to support oneself and become a positive reference for the youngest.

The music school Il Pentagramma fills the day with workshops and performances to celebrate World Children’s Rights Day. Families, children, and young people of all ages experience music as a language of creativity, listening, and connection.

Young readers from many different countries read stories and tales, each in their own language. Volunteers from Quellilà bring the beauty of their own culture through the images of illustrated books and the sound of different languages, transporting children to distant lands.

Where do the sun and moon hide when they go to sleep? Sabina Italiano from the BarchettaBlu Study Center offers an art workshop for children and parents where the pages of illustrated books become the first art gallery, developing a sense of beauty, proportions, balance, and creativity.

Conversation on space to understand the Earth
Astrophysicist Amedeo Balbi, professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and science communicator Massimo Polidoro reflect on how space exploration with telescopes, probes, and reusable rockets is changing our way of understanding the world. The evening is enriched by live music from Nadio Marenco and comic interludes by Francesco Lancia and Chiara Galeazzi.
At 5:00 PM, participants may visit The Human Safety Net House and the interactive exhibition A World of Potential.

Sabina Italiano from the BarchettaBlu Study Center guides children and parents on a journey through illustrated books that portray trees as figures to observe, draw, and imagine. Colors, shapes, and marks become exercises in balance and proportion, a way to educate the eye and awaken creativity.

With the concert by students from the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory – Daniele Bucci, Luca Scarpa, Francesco Edoardo Naletto, and Tancredi Triches – the Values in Music series begins, dedicated to young talents. The program features Bizet, Albéniz, and Torroba for a sonic journey through Spain.

The Human Safety Net is a global movement of people helping people, active in 25 countries and 3 continents—Europe, South America, and Asia—supporting vulnerable families with children ages 0 to 6 and refugee integration through work and entrepreneurship. Its mission is to unlock people’s potential so they can improve the living conditions of their families and communities.
The Human Safety Net House at the Procuratie in Piazza San Marco is a space open to all, with exhibitions, activities, and events dedicated to the community. Admission is free for all, with voluntary donation.
A World of Potential, the permanent exhibition at the Procuratie, is an immersive and interactive experience for all ages that invites visitors to discover their abilities and strengthen self-awareness.
A continuous program of activities and events with free admission (with voluntary donation), developed in collaboration with cultural and social organizations in the area, makes the Procuratie a vital place of encounter, dialogue, and participation.
