Mixology in the carpentry workshop with Venice Cocktail Week: Design & Cocktail with Lunardelli and Lino Marchese
As part of Venice Cocktail Week, Venezia da Vivere and Lunardelli Venezia present a cocktail dedicated to craftsmanship and the 1600th anniversary of Venice, created by Lino Marchese, bar manager of the Blue Bar at Hotel Excelsior.
The invitation of Venice Cocktail Week is to discover Venice through a cocktail itinerary created for the event; thus, Venezia da Vivere has chosen to bring the art of mixing to an evocative location like Lunardelli Venezia, an exhibition space and carpentry workshop blending craftsmanship, design, and glass.
Watch the creation live on Tuesday, December 14 from 6 PM on the Instagram profile of @veneziadavivere.
Io e Te are the glasses by Nason Moretti set in a wooden tray resembling a landing stage—an object conceived by Venetian designer Marco Zito for Lunardelli to tell the story of the Venetian Lagoon landscapes, with winter fog and expanses of purple artichokes in summer.
The cocktail created by Lino Marchese features Campari and Select, a handcrafted liqueur born in Venice, and Gin dei Sospiri, a distillate inspired by Sant’Erasmo, a Venetian island immersed in the salt marsh where the precious glasswort, the protagonist of this gin, grows alongside other botanicals.
In this way, the cocktail becomes a means to discuss—through mixology as well—the Venetian territory, life in the lagoon, the tradition of craftsmanship, and design innovation.
