Onda su Onda: Eleonora Lastrucci's fashion show on the water in Venice

A fashion show on the water is Eleonora Lastrucci’s tribute to Venice, presenting Naturae, a limited edition of evening gowns enriched by accessories from Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua

The haute couture of Eleonora Lastrucci opens the Venetian summer with a fashion show on the waves on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Marina Sant’Elena dock in Venice.

Naturae is the latest haute couture collection by Tuscan designer Eleonora Lastrucci: tailored evening gowns inspired by the colors and creatures of the sea, accompanied by precious accessories from the ancient Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua and jewel umbrellas handmade by Arcobaleno, a Venetian atelier.

The Onda su Onda event organized by KIMA will be an opportunity to discover a new fashion location: the Darsena Marina Sant’Elena, a unique space in Venice between nature and the lagoon overlooking the water in front of the Lido.

Two days of events

The fashion show, directed by Kristian Cellini and Ilaria Bartalini, will be preceded by a Chic Picnic on the lawn of Marina Sant’Elena in Venice.

The event is organized by KIMA, an agency that promotes Venice through sport and lifestyle events. The evening inaugurates the first edition of Swim-Run Serenissima, a swimming and running competition created by Kima with the artistic collaboration of Oddo De Grandis. The race, valid for the C.S.E.N. Veneto Regional Swim Run Championship, will begin on Sunday, June 19 from 8 AM throughout the day.

The protagonists of the event

ELEONORA LASTRUCCI
Born in Prato, she began her career at a very young age in the family business, studied fashion design, worked for major Italian and international brands, and had Enrico Coveri as a mentor. Her collections celebrate art in shapes and colors for handcrafted garments made unique by precious fabrics. The Naturae collection features haute-couture gowns inspired by nature.

TESSITURA LUIGI BEVILACQUA
The bags accompanying Eleonora Lastrucci’s fashion show bear the name of an illustrious Venetian woman and are inspired by nature. Bianca, in honor of Bianca Cappello, is a line of clutches made of lampas and velvet Capri and Corallo with naturalistic motifs by the ancient Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, the only textile factory on the Grand Canal. Elena is the mini in Uccelli lampas, with magnificent flashes of color on a luminous black background.

SWIM-RUN SERENISSIMA
The race involves continuous transitions between swimming and running and is held outdoors in open water.

SWIM-RUN was officially born in 2006 in Sweden with the “ÖTILLÖ” race. Today it is a world circuit that organizes Swim-Run races all over the world.

The evocative Venetian race, directed by Guido Rizzo, will start at 10:00 AM and will include four running segments, including on floating walkways over the water, and four consecutive and alternating swimming segments, for a total of 8 km of running and 2,200 meters of swimming.

The result of the race, held in partnership with Y-40® The Deep Joy, the deepest thermal water pool in the world, will be valid as the C.S.E.N. Veneto Regional Swim-Run Championship and will award four slots for the Aquatic Runner World Championship 2022.
