Atelier Aperti. Artisanal Intelligence: 106 events for three days of talks, workshops, and visits to the city’s creative studios for National Made in Italy Day
On Tuesday, April 15, Italy celebrates National Made in Italy Day, on the anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci. This year’s edition involves over 500 initiatives throughout Italy and abroad. In Venice, Atelier Aperti from April 15 to 17 opens artisan workshops, art galleries, ateliers, and artist studios to showcase the cultural value of creativity and artisanal innovation through visits and meetings.
Second edition for the event conceived by Venezia da Vivere, an agency that communicates Venice through culture, design, craftsmanship, and events, this year in partnership with the contemporary art agency Lightbox, which since 2009 has published the renowned guides to major art events worldwide, My Art Guides.
Glass, mosaic, wood, lace, weaving: Venetian savoir-faire is represented by Alto Artigianato Venezia, the network that brings together five Venetian companies of excellence. The Orsoni Mosaici 1888 Furnace, Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, the Venetian headquarters of Seguso 1397, Martina Vidal’s atelier in Burano, and the Lunardelli Venezia atelier will be open for National Made in Italy Day on the days and at the times indicated in the program.
A point of interest: Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, the official symbol of the Day, is once again on display at the Gallerie dell’Accademia for the exhibition Modern Bodies. The construction of the body in Renaissance Venice. Leonardo, Michelangelo, Dürer, Giorgione, open from April 4 to July 27.
