Created by the Italian-French designer, stylist and modeller Claudia Puschi, she offers creations with pure and elegant lines between modern and ethnic chic that enchant just by looking at them from the window.
Born and raised in Paris, at the age of twenty Claudia moved to Italy where she started working in fashion and design for the fashion house Enrico Coveri and the stylistic studio of Alberto Del Biondi.
Her artistic personality led her to the creation of the Il Mercante di Sabbia in Venice in the year 2000. The latest location of this peculiar atelier is on the premises of a former butchery: the historic Beccheria di San Paolo.
What catches the attention of the observer is the strong ability of this store to be versatile, between different styles and trends, yet maintaining a unique and recognizable personality, appreciated both by the regular Venetian customers and by an international audience, who remain intrigued and amazed.
The purity of this style, aimed at integrating modernity and originality, is the particular feature of the boutique that offers jewellery and accessories from international designers, paying a particular attention to materials and singular and geometric shapes.
