At the Italian High Craftsmanship Fair, Venezia da Vivere presents the panel “Venice, Craftsmanship and Tourism: A Sustainable Relationship” and an instameet to discover the Fair
Friday, September 29 at 11 AM, Venezia da Vivere organizes the panel: Venice, Craftsmanship and Tourism: A Sustainable Relationship at the Italian High Craftsmanship Fair at the Tese dell’Arsenale in Venice.
Sustainable travel that respects local communities and the environment is increasingly sought after by tourism oriented toward awareness and environmental commitment. On the other hand, connecting guests to the local culture is the goal of travel experiences that many five-star hotels offer their guests.
Many Venetian hotels employ local craftsmen of excellence for restoration and interior design, and an increasing number of properties create customized experiences for their guests to discover the city’s high craftsmanship, with visits to workshops, meetings, or workshops at the hotel with master artisans. If therefore craftsmanship is a marketing driver, consequently hotels are ambassadors of an extraordinary Venice, a privileged channel for promoting a city that is presented as rich in talent and unique experiences.
Communication and marketing activities, projects and events trigger virtuous processes that target precisely the type of visitor the city seeks: a conscious guest, looking for authentic and original experiences, who wants to take home a piece of history, mastery and excellence, represented by a handcrafted object.
Friday, September 29 at 11 AM, we hear from hospitality and conscious tourism experts, and from artisans and entrepreneurs representing the city’s high craftsmanship, about how the relationship between artisan work and tourism offerings is evolving, especially in these post-pandemic years.
