Le Mani Sapienti by the designers. The second fashion show of Venice Fashion Summer at Hotel Excelsior on the Lido of Venice
The fashion shows of Venice Fashion Summer continue at Hotel Excelsior on the Lido of Venice. Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 7 PM, live on the social channels of @veneziadavivere and @venicefashionweek, the talents of seven designers and artisans who have chosen Venice to express their vision of couture fashion will showcase their work.
Hotel Excelsior celebrates haute couture in Venice in the white Sala degli Stucchi and presents six brands: Neris Style, épaule 6419, Gaiofatto, Teod’amar, (mine de rien) and Myss Duval.
Beniamina, Francesca, Sabrina and Gaia, Michela, Norma and Marina. The designers are women who create fashion as a narrative of emotions and as a lifestyle. Their attention to sustainability is expressed in the research of materials and techniques, with the great responsibility of being witnesses to a heritage of excellence: Made in Veneto.
The designers of Le Mani Sapienti
Neris Style is the Padua-based brand of Beniamina Zecchin, master tailor of the National Academy of Tailors and National President of Tailors and Designers of Confartigianato. She presents her couture collection through perfection in cutting and finishes rigorously made by hand.
The brand épaule 6419 by Sabrina Favaro and Gaia Casale was born in April 2019 from Philomena Sarti‘s passion for fine fabrics, tradition, and sartorial craftsmanship. Philomena’s story is the inspiration for her daughter Sabrina and the very young Gaia for a new generation of all-female designers creating unique outerwear collections. New entry: the under-18 collections.
An essential, geometric, and experimental aesthetic, innovation and craftsmanship for the brand Gaiofatto by Michela Gaiofatto.
The narrative construction of the Gaiofatto garment expresses the awareness of a demanding and independent woman, who highlights her femininity with rigorous and essential lines and precious materials.
Linen, cotton, silk, velvet, damasks, and brocades. Research and quality are the values of Teod’amar, a project by designer Norma Marzà who pursues the goal of keeping Venetian craftsmanship alive. Beach towels, bags, hats, kimonos, slippers, fascinators, and hair accessories, made by the skilled hands of tailors and artisans, tell the story of Venetian dolce vita.
Silk garments with unique volumes and geometries. (mine de rien) is a tribute to the ancient Florentine art masters by designer and artist Francesca Venuti, who creates her garments using the hand-pleating technique.
The new capsule dedicated to ceremonies features origami-like garments in delicate fabrics with three-dimensional effects, creating plays of chiaroscuro and enigmatic wave effects. Geometric cuts and necklines accompany the brand’s black-and-white leitmotif.
We also find the bride, who plays with the volumes of draping, a tribute to the Greek peplos, the garment of goddesses, white as the marble of ancient statues, made extremely light by impalpable fabrics.
Myss Duval is the emerging fashion brand of young designer Marina Amicucci. Her bold fashion expresses passion and research in a unisex style where precious fabrics with geometric textures, silks from Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, and disciplined cuts caress sexy shapes and softness, combined with garments for women or men with universal fit.
The new summer capsule collection for Hotel Excelsior pays tribute to French poet Charles Baudelaire and his lyric “Albatross,” the king of the skies. Albatross is therefore a collection of freedom of expression and spirit.
