Now in its second edition, the Atelier Aperti event, created by Venezia da Vivere—an agency that communicates Venice through culture, design, and craftsmanship—is partnered this year with the contemporary art agency Lightbox, which since 2009 has published the renowned My Art Guides to major contemporary art events worldwide.
Atelier Aperti and new places to experience
From hidden workshops to spaces dedicated to creation, Venetian ateliers are once again opening their doors to the public to share their work: a heritage of knowledge and techniques in constant evolution. For the 2025 edition, artist studios and galleries join the master artisans. Ateliers will be open for visits by appointment.
Meet master artisans, artists, and designers in their creative spaces
From glassmaking to ceramics, textiles to wood, jewelry to printing: Venetian heritage is told in the places where it takes shape. Visitors will be able to access workshops to witness creative processes live and discover stories of family business, experimentation, and design.
A network of events for Made in Italy
Atelier Aperti. Artisanal Intelligence is part of the Ministry of Made in Italy‘s official program. Established to enhance Italy’s productive and cultural heritage, National Made in Italy Day is celebrated every year on April 15, the date of Leonardo da Vinci’s birth. With over 500 initiatives in Italy and more than 50 events in 30 countries, the 2025 edition aims to strengthen the role of Made in Italy in the international context.
Venice actively participates in the National Day with Atelier Aperti, the format created by Venezia da Vivere to promote contemporary craftsmanship. And the symbol of Made in Italy is in Venice: the official logo of the Day, Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, will once again be visible to the public at the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice from April 4 to July 27, 2025, on the occasion of the Modern Bodies exhibition.
The complete program, atelier by atelier, will be published shortly—stay tuned!
Atelier Aperti. Artisanal Intelligence is part of the journey leading to the next Venice Recraft Fashion Week, scheduled from October 20 to 26, 2025, an event dedicated to fine craftsmanship and sustainable fashion, part of the Major Events of the City of Venice.
Atelier Aperti. Artisanal Intelligence is a project by Venezia da Vivere, and from this year it is realized in partnership with Lightbox.
