On April 15, Venice participates in the National Made in Italy Day, organized by the Ministry of Made in Italy, with a special edition of Atelier Aperti
April 15 is National Made in Italy Day, the anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci. In Venice, a special edition of Atelier Aperti, included in the official calendar of initiatives by the Ministry of Made in Italy, will open the doors to places of know-how and mastery. It will be possible to meet master artisans in their workshops, participate in workshops, and learn about the crafts that make Italy great.

Alto Artigianato Venezia
Gold, glass, wood, lace, weaving: Venetian know-how is represented by Alto Artigianato Venezia, the network that brings together six Venetian companies of excellence, unique realities where history and mastery, tradition and innovation coexist: Orsoni Venezia 1888, Seguso Vetri d’Arte Murano dal 1397, Mario Berta Battiloro, Martina Vidal Venezia (on the island of Burano), Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, and Lunardelli Venezia.

The Orsoni furnace and the Color Library can be visited on the morning of April 15 with two time slots: at 10 AM and 11 AM. The cultural visit will last 1 hour and will be conducted in Italian and English. Admission is free (no reservation required) for up to 20 people per visit. La Modisteria di Giuliana Longo is a Historic Enterprise of Italy, where Made in Italy excellence combines with a unique Made in Venice in the creation of hats. Silk, felt, velvet, and the precious Florence Straw are transformed into Giuliana’s works of art: hats, Panamas, authentic gondolier hats, and fascinators, in the shop inside the ancient Sarti Factory, designed by Palladio.

Rubelli, the Venetian weaving company that exports Made in Italy worldwide, will open its doors to tell the story of weaving and its most recent collaborations. Accompanied by Raffaele Dessì, we will discover the latest projects in which Rubelli has lent its expertise to meet the requests of international designers. Fashion Revolution Italia turns 10 and brings the Fashion Revolution Tour to Venice
A meeting and a cultural itinerary to discover fashion sustainability through the know-how of contemporary artisans and designers.
The day begins at the Serra dei Giardini Reali in Piazza San Marco with a talk by Marina Spadafora (Fashion Revolution Italia) with the participation of Orsola de Castro, co-founder of Fashion Revolution, and the partners who contributed to the project: Laura Scarpa (Venezia da Vivere and Venice Fashion Week), Sara Sozzani Maino (Fondazione Sozzani), Matteo Ward (Fashion Revolution Italia and WRÅD), and Alessandra Vaccari (University IUAV – fashion of Venice).

Made in Italy Day in Venice
Minister Urso presented the program of over 400 events for National Made in Italy Day, which will take place in Italy and abroad from April 5 to 25. National Made in Italy Day aims to promote Italian creativity and excellence, recognizing the social role of Made in Italy and its contribution to the economic and cultural development of the country.
“The world envies our more than 4 million small and medium-sized enterprises,” says Minister Urso. “The event represents an opportunity to introduce young people to Italian manufacturing and invite them to visit our companies,” continues Matteo Lunelli, president of Altagamma, who together with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion proposed the establishment of the Day. “The high-end industrial sector is a flagship of the country’s economy and, in addition to fueling supply chains that employ nearly 2 million people, contributes decisively to enriching Italy’s image in the world, with a driving effect on all national production, as well as tourism.”
