In the Dorsoduro Museum Mile, the Gallerie dell’Accademia today present the exhibition Willem de Kooning and Italy to the press.
The Archaeological Park of Pompeii and the Museo di Palazzo Grimani present I Am Hymns of the New Temples to the accredited press. This exhibition by Egyptian artist Wael Shawky runs until June 30 in the Museum’s Ala Tribuna, alongside several other exhibitions opening to the public on April 17.

The Pre-Opening of the 60th International Art Exhibition
Join us on Tuesday, April 16 from 10 AM: we will take you to see the Biennale together with curator Adriano Pedrosa. Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere is an exhibition that speaks of identity and belonging: regardless of our place of birth or residence, we are all foreigners in some way. Dedicated to artists who have experienced the condition of being foreigners, immigrants, expatriates, diasporic, exiled, or refugees.
From April 16 to 21, Ghost over Banksy Alive: the child on the water comes to life on the canal of Campo San Pantalon from 9 PM onwards. This project for everyone is supported by Banca Ifis, which will restore the artist’s mural and transform the building hosting it into an art center, and is curated by immersive artist Anderson Tegon with the studio Peppers Ghost. The Fondazione Giorgio Cini presents Alex Katz. Claire, Grass and Water to the press, open to the public from April 17 to September 29. The Foundation pays tribute to American artist Alex Katz, on the threshold of his 100th birthday, with an exhibition curated by Luca Massimo Barbero.
In the spaces of the former Piscina Gandini, the exhibition In Nebula by artist Chu Teh-Chun (1920-2014) will be presented to the press, opening to the public from April 20 to June 30, 2024. It is the most significant exhibition dedicated in recent years to the Franco-Chinese painter, a leading figure in abstract art.
On Tuesday, April 16, in the Dorsoduro Museum Mile, the Galleria di Palazzo Cini presents the exhibition Martha Jungwirth. Heart of Darkness, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero.

From Tuesday, April 16, Fondazione Ligabue presents Futuro Remoto. Nelle caverne dell’arcaico, available for public booking from April 18 to 27. The creative research of photographer Domingo Milella takes place in the darkness of prehistoric caves adorned with the history of the human species. The rooms of Palazzo Erizzo Ligabue, stripped bare by the works the Foundation has initiated for the building’s public use, will be visited in the dark, after sunset (free visits with mandatory reservation at 7:30 PM and 9:00 PM). Visitors will find themselves suspended in time and space, facing images that come from a past so remote and deep that it seems like the future.

From April 17, Galerie Negropontes presents Armonia Metis, an exhibition that dialogues with the magic of the spaces designed by Carlo Scarpa.
The Parisian gallery has restored and given new life to Palazzina Masieri, transformed into a research center for art and architecture through a partnership with the Fondazione Masieri and the IUAV University of Venice.
From April 18, discover the glow of light reflected on the water with Brian Eno. Gibigiane on the island of Giudecca.
The Galleria Michela Rizzo presents the third solo exhibition of Brian Eno, Golden Lion at the Biennale Musica and one of the most influential thinkers, artists, and composers of our time. Eno collaborated with Giovanni Bonotto, co-founder with Chiara Casarin of A Collection, to create three tapestries inspired by works from the 1990s.

FORTUNY + CHAHAN
Fortuny and Chahan Minassian collaborate to create a new venue for design on the island of Giudecca.
On the occasion of the Biennale Arte 2024, the Venetian textile and design house, founded by Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo in 1921, collaborates with designer Chahan Minassian to transform the former residence of Countess Gozzi, adjacent to the Fortuny Factory, into a destination for international contemporary design. The legendary Fortuny fabrics are handcrafted in the factory founded by the Spanish artist and inventor. This new collaboration with interior designer Chahan Minassian, a long-time Venetian resident, reflects the maison’s commitment to carrying its heritage into the future with a contemporary perspective. From April 22, book your free visit by appointment, Monday to Saturday, 10 AM – 6 PM.
