Sustainable fashion, high craftsmanship, and international guests: Venice Fashion Week is the week of slow fashion in Venice from October 17 to 26, 2019.
Sustainable fashion, craftsmanship, and emerging designers for ten days of events and fashion shows in palaces, galleries, and art venues. Thirty events, twenty-six locations, seventy creatives and a program full of news: the partnership with the British Consulate, the participation of designers from Austria, France, South Africa, Germany, Turkey, and Iran, and the presentation of the newly formed association Alto Artigianato Venezia, a project that brings together the city’s historic companies to create international collaborations.
Venetian hotels present international designers and local talents: designer Alessandra Micolucci, whose work embodies eco-friendly craftsmanship; contemporary jewelry creatives The_Sign and Laberintho; the custom-made fashion of Daniela Giacometti; the slow fashion of Gabriella Marin; the reuse of precious materials such as lace, ties, old leather bags, denim, and end-of-stock fabrics, as seen in the creations of Remué Venice, Demis Marin, Carla Plessi, Sebastiano Michielon, and Teo d’Amar; and the artisanal creativity of the many designers we will meet in unique locations, even in the most hidden parts of Venice.

For the occasion, FIFTH Treviso will perform, the professional training center for dancers directed by Silvia Funes, a dancer and choreographer graduated from the National Dance Academy in Rome. The performers, Sara Novakovic and Rita Bellagamba, will bring to life an intertwining of bodies where the purity of classical lines will merge with an earthy physicality in an emotional crescendo.
