At Gritti Palace, the vintage style with contemporary nuances by Arnoldo & Battois walks the catwalk with the new collection Le jardin dés reves

The brand combines traditional and modern to create a suggestive vintage style with contemporary tones. The new collection Le jardin dés reves by the Venetians Arnoldo & Battois is on show at the Gritti Palace Hotel for Venice Fashion Week on Wednesday 24th October 2018.

A new style that oscillates between vintage and modern trends, a brand by two Venetians, Silvano Arnoldo and Massimiliano Battois – designers of the Made in Italy – that pays attention to the relationship between dress and accessory and their mutual contamination.

The accessories are loaded with memory and a new independency; the clothes are defined around the person, independent of the body volume but designed around its movements. The results are peplums, kimonos, mantles created in Venice, a place of historical sedimentation and cultural contamination, where the glorious past rises in a contemporary gaze.

Arnoldo & Battois take part in the Venice Fashion Week 2018 with a fashion show on Wednesday, October 24th, at the Hotel Gritti Palace at 7pm.

Il Giardino dei sogni: the new collection with marine and floral elements

The Arnoldo & Battois 2018 collection Le jardin dés reves tells about a dream and a journey through beautiful gardens. Prints that seem to be taken from a secessionist artwork or from the Art Nouveau tradition are mixed with marine and floral elements that transform into gardens. It is the Garden of Dreams where the Decò details of the 30s lighten the sinuous graphics up, and the nuances are a revolutionary mix of contrasting colours.

Deconstructed dresses mixed with femininity in the long and short version, in cotton-silk muslin, crepe and silk satin. Maxi and mini silhouettes. Single shoulder outfits with long slits are alternating with soft cigarette or wide leg trousers suits.

Chiffon shirts with glove sleeves with puff bottom. Outerwear long to the ground or very short, architectural superstructures, modern and trendy. A game of contrasts between the reminiscent twenties and forties up to the psychedelic and enlightened years of the Club54, the career years for women, with suits and silk shirts that becomes a real status symbol.

A mix of art, nature and architecture all together in an elixir of a new balance.

Long working experience and international successes for Silvano Arnoldo and Massimiliano Battois

After a long collaboration with Roberta di Camerino Silvano Arnoldo and Massimiliano Battois discover their great passion for bags.

In 2001 they opened their shop in Venice, producing clothes and accessories of high craftsmanship. The quality of the garments and raw materials carry the Arnoldo ] [Battois trademark, by then a well known brand in the national and international arena.

In 2006 they became lecturers at the Faculty of Design and Fashion at the IUAV in Venice and from 2015 they have been teaching as part of the Course Bag Design and Product Development master degree, sponsored by the IUAV University of Venice, in partnership with Bottega Veneta.

With Who is on Next ?, the competition organized by Vogue Italia and AltaRoma, in 2010 they ranked among the three finalists in the accessories category. In 2011 the collection walks the catwalk during the Milan Fashion Week at the event organized by Vogue Italia and Vogue USA at Palazzo Morando, with Anna Wintour and the most important names in the fashion world.

In July 2015 the collection is presented at AltaRoma and in 2016 at The White Show in Milan.

Arnoldo & Battois take part in the Venice Fashion Week – the fashion week in Venice from 18th to 27th October – with a fashion show on October 24th at the Hotel Gritti.
