From December 18 to 21, Ve.NICE STUFF presents the finest independent designers and artisans from Venice and the surrounding area in the spaces of the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista
The Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista hosts the seventh edition of Ve.NICE STUFF in the Badoer space of the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista, the independent design showcase created by Kanz Architetti studio to promote the Made in Italy artistic and artisan heritage.
Exhibition, workshop of ideas, and meeting place to keep the debate alive on the future of the city and its creatives: the project, founded in Venice in 2014 from an idea by Antonella Maione and Mauro Cazzaro, promotes small independent productions and demonstrates how it is still possible to offer, in Venice, authentic production based on original ideas, design culture, and high artisan quality.
The event offers a perspective on contemporary design that extends beyond the Venetian territory, hosting creatives who work and live in Venice alongside realities from other geographical or cultural contexts. The talks address the pressing themes of the current moment, connecting object production to social life and lifestyles, confirming the city as a meeting place and cross-pollination hub for all the arts, and the design world as a fertile environment for the exchange of best practices, collaborations, and projects.
Ceramics, textiles, leather, paper, wood, glass, marble, for porcelain jewelry, lamps that reconfigure into different forms, textile sculptures, traditional Venetian ceramics meeting Mexican culture, tailored garments, fabrics dyed with leaves and natural elements, woven leather shoes, bags, hats.
Talks and events:
Thursday, December 18 at 6:00 PM, during the opening, tea sommeliers Gabriella Scarpa and Federica Lazzarini from Ar-Tea Academy will present an aperitif with tea selections from Japan, China, Nepal, and Taiwan, also in alcoholic versions.
Saturday, December 20 at 4:00 PM, the founders of A.s.d. Sant’Elena, a Venetian association created to build a better future for the city through sports and integration, will lead the talk “Self-produced Design in Historic Centers: A Model of Hyper-sustainability“.
At 6:00 PM, a wine tasting from Cantina Sandrin, a family-run winery now in its third generation that cultivates a nine-hectare plot in the Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Cru among the DOCG of Asolo and Conegliano-Valdobbiadene.

The exhibition aims to highlight the creativity of independent designers, committed to following all stages of product realization—from conception to production through to distribution. The ever-growing demand for high quality is met by the territory’s craftsmanship and its creatives.
