Organized by Venezia da Vivere, Venice Fashion Week has brought the international debate on sustainable fashion, art crafts, and contemporary design to Venice since 2013
Venice Fashion Week features fashion shows, events, exhibitions, and conferences from October 19 to 29 to present collections from emerging, artisanal, and sustainable Italian and international brands, showcase creative talent, introduce master artisans, and promote craftsmanship that respects environmental and human resources.
For visitors, the public, buyers, press, and fashion professionals, Venice Fashion Week represents an enriching slow-paced experience, where encounters and stories unfold in person, respecting the rhythm of a city to be preserved.

Tuesday, October 18 | PRE-OPENING
A day dedicated to sustainable lifestyles aboard the electric boat of Repower, partner of the event and a leading player in the energy and sustainable mobility market, including nautical.
The talk involves institutions and industry stakeholders to explore sustainable pathways in Venice and indicate the direction for the tourism of the future.
The event, aimed at the press, will be shared online on the Instagram account of @veneziadavivere.
Wednesday, October 19 | OPENING
Two exhibitions present the connections between fashion, craftsmanship, and design
AT 5 PM the brand Liviana Conti presents its Fall/Winter collection in its boutique at Campo San Zulian in San Marco with a specially created installation in collaboration with Lunardelli Venezia.
AT 7 PM at the Lunardelli Venezia atelier in San Polo, the presentation of the collection of wood and glass design objects and Liviana Conti looks. Followed by a cocktail in the carpentry workshop to celebrate Sebastiano Lunardelli, recently honored with the title of MAM, Master of Art and Crafts by the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte.
Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23 | OPEN ATELIERS
A weekend dedicated to craftsmanship and sustainable shopping in boutiques, ateliers, and workshops throughout Venice with meetings with designers and creatives, presentations, workshops, and cocktails. Guided walks are scheduled with fashion experts Giulia Carli, image consultant, and architect and costume historian Raffaele Dessì.

Sunday, October 23 | 7 PM | INNOVATIVE BRANDS
Ca Maria Adele is one of the most romantic boutique hotels in Venice. On the evening of Sunday, October 23, it presents two unique contemporary and artisanal brands:
- Young Marina Amicucci with her brand Myss Duval has created a sartorial capsule of men’s and women’s outfits and accessories, where animal prints are combined with precious fabrics, leather, and gold and silver laminates.
- Antonio Battaglia and Marco Andreoni are the creators of In Barberia, an optical shop born on Via Barberia in Treviso and now also in Calle dei Fuseri in Venice, and present the handmade eyewear collection created for designer Nicola Zenella.

First edition of the salon dedicated to artisanal and artistic accessories for fashion and lifestyle. At Palazzo Sagredo from 10 AM to 6:30 PM.

- 7 lamps by seven artisans from Venice illuminate Ornamenti.

Wednesday, October 26
11 AM | Upcycling, creative recycling of clothing and accessories
Conference for tailors and designers organized by Confartigianato Imprese, Confartigianato Imprese Veneto, and EBAV with a presentation by tailor Demis Marin from the Ramosalso atelier and Valentina Bonafé from EstroDiverso.
7 PM | Romeo y Julieta
Argentine designer Julieta Cardozo presents her Romeo y Julieta collection of evening gowns embellished with embroidery and hand-applied details by local artisans in a European preview. Followed by the opening cocktail of the Ornamenti salon.
Thursday, October 27
11 AM | The value of artisanal collections for fashion buyers
Round table with the Camera Buyer association and David Clementoni, founder of the B2B marketplace Italian Artisan, with the presence of ecodesigner Tiziano Guardini and the creator of the Venice Fashion Week 2022 poster, illustrator Jacopo Ascari.

7 PM | Fashion Show
A look at sartorial, cultural, and sustainable fashion
Venice Fashion Week presents the award-winning ethical fashion start-up that combines contemporary design with African tailoring, employs 13 Tanzanian seamstresses, and reinterprets Maasai fabric patterns.
The sartorial collection MG Atelier Folleria by Mirco Giovannini: an example of Italian artisanal craftsmanship in the service of dynamic and innovative creative talent.
A vision of luxury as well-being in harmony with the environment drives the designer to explore new ways of designing and presenting collections sustainably, such as the use of 3D fashion design for her sartorial collections.
Hélène Kuhn Ferruzzi
In the rhythm of painter Hélène’s color there is action, movement, fire. Her works are paintings, tapestries, silk or velvet stoles, cushions, kimonos, and mermaid dresses that the artist paints using the techniques of Mariano Fortuny and her master, as well as husband, Venetian painter Bobo Ferruzzi.
Friday, October 28
10 AM | Breakfast Workshop: Communicating Craftsmanship
At Palazzo Sagredo, a meeting with entrepreneurs, tailors, designers, and creatives present at Ornamenti, with presentations by Alessandra de Nitto, Director of Editorial Projects and Events at Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, Judith Bradl, digital creator, brand ambassador, and vintage fashion expert, Laura Scarpa and Lorenzo Cinotti, founders of Venice Fashion Week.
12 PM | A lecture by Carlos Tieppo
Venice Fashion Week celebrates the career of Carlos Tieppo, creative director of the Sartoria of Teatro La Fenice, who with his seamstresses will tell us how work is done behind the scenes of a great theater, interviewed by Alessandra De Nitto of the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte.
6 PM | The St. Regis Hotel | A cocktail with Franco Puppato
The Arts Bar of the Hotel St Regis overlooks the Grand Canal. Many of the international clients of Franco Puppato, undisputed Master of handmade men’s suits in Venice, have spent pleasant hours here.
The St. Regis honors the Master on Friday, October 28, who since 1964 in his atelier in San Marco has dressed stars and royalty and has been awarded the recognition of MAM, Master of Art and Crafts by the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte and the Arbiter prize, the Oscar of Italian tailoring.
Saturday, October 29 | GRAND FINALE
6:30 PM | KIMONO à PORTER Fashion Show
An evening discovering Palazzo Nani, home of the Hotel Radisson, with the fashion show of the sartorial kimono collection by designer Antonia Sautter.
THE EXHIBITIONS
To facilitate encounters between artists and the Venice Fashion Week audience, Venice Fashion Week is enriched by several exhibitions on craftsmanship, fashion, and photography:
- the double exhibition Lunardelli/Liviana Conti;
- Venice Photo Lab with images from more than 60 photographers and artists from around the world;
- Sabine Weiss. The Poetry of the Instant at Casa dei Tre Oci;
- from October 19 to 26, Edmond à Venise presents at the Magazzino Gallery of Palazzo Contarini Polignac Séverina Lartigue and the art of flower making and Syrk Design by the two artists: Séverina Lartigue and Nadia Syrkova with her handmade, decorated, and hand-painted hats.
In the gallery, we can witness demonstrations of artisan work.
