Events, walks, cocktails, workshops: Atelier Aperti, the festival of Venice’s artisan workshops
Atelier Aperti returns from Thursday, March 30 to Sunday, April 2, 2023. Four days discovering craftsmanship and sustainable shopping during Venice Fashion Week Research Edition.
Cocktails with creatives and presentations in boutiques, ateliers, and workshops, new store openings, live social media walks with the Venezia da Vivere and Venice Fashion Week team and photographers, and workshops to discover craftsmanship and upcycling, vintage, and tailored fashion.
Thursday, March 30 Events
Atelier Aperti 2023 begins with Venetian artisan excellence: from the island of Mazzorbo with Venissa, to Burano with Atelier Martina Vidal, and then to Venice at Ambasciata Seguso Vetri d’Arte, Orsoni Venezia 1888, Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, and finally at the contemporary carpentry workshop Lunardelli Venezia. A day among high craftsmanship, sustainability, and young designers in the places of artisan expertise.
- Liviana Conti Meets Seguso
Liviana Conti Boutique, Campo San Zulian, San Marco, until April 7
For the second consecutive year, the Liviana Conti brand celebrates craftsmanship by hosting and collaborating with a Venetian excellence. In the boutique in Campo San Zulian near Piazza San Marco, it presents a striking display of fashion and Murano glass born from the collaboration with Seguso Vetri d’Arte. A unique exhibition created from the creative synthesis of innovation and artisan mastery, open until April 7.

Penny Lane Shop is a clothing and accessories store featuring small brands not distributed in Italy, sourced from across Europe. For Atelier Aperti, it will organize a Clothing Swap Party to share the message of sustainable fashion: producing quality clothing responsibly or giving garments new life through creative reuse.
Those interested in participating in the party can bring five clean, well-maintained clothing items to the boutique. In exchange, they will receive a voucher that can be used to select another item. Each time one of these items is chosen, they will receive a new voucher allowing them to select yet another item…
For the four days of Venice Fashion Week, Penny Lane Shop will offer a €20 purchase voucher to those who swap all five proposed garments or to those who swap more.

The Blue Garden is the closing event of Venice Fashion Week Research Edition 2023, to be held at Palazzo Rizzo Patarol, located on the splendid Fondamenta Madonna de l’Orto in Cannaregio.
A magical space now home to the NH Collection Grand Hotel Palazzo dei Dogi, characterized by its Renaissance architecture completed in the Baroque era, and a centuries-old botanical garden of over 2,000 square meters.

Alessandra Micolucci is Venice’s sustainable fashion designer. Her commitment to the planet and to people is realized through tailored garments in natural fibers such as hemp, dyed or painted with colors created by Alessandra from peels, rinds, wood, and shells. Like blouses dyed with walnut that become gold and bronze, and garments dyed with wood that become blue. Up to her upcycling project with “forgotten” wedding dresses, from which Alessandra recovers precious parts to create unique and poetic collections.

Antonia Sautter Atelier will conclude the spring edition of Venice Fashion Week in great beauty by presenting her haute couture garments inspired by the marine world.
Venetian artist and designer Antonia Sautter will engage attendees by explaining her fashion creations made with natural fiber fabrics, dyed with pigments of plant or mineral origin and hand-printed.
